Rap Artists Who Lack Their Due Respect

In Hip Hop, there are many rappers who have accomplished amazing numbers in the area of record sales, yet these rappers are not considered among the best. Master P is probably the best example of someone who made hundreds of millions of dollars as an artist, but is not himself considered one of the best in the game. There are also those who have been underrated due to lack of respect for pure talent. So instead of recognizing the best in the game, here we will recognize those who lack the respect they deserve.

Master P

As mentioned already, Master P made hundreds of millions of dollars as an artist and pretty much controled the rap game for a couple years. No Limit Records was like the new Death Row, with a solid roster of talented rap artists and Master P as their general. With so many record sales and so many classic hits under his belt, it's flabbergasting how some other rappers are considered so much more elite than P, with so little accomplished. Master P wasn't the most talented rapper by any means, but someone who has left a mark in hip-hop like Master P has, deserves way more credit than he is getting.

DMX

Dark Man X is one of the most passionate artists to ever bless the mic. His first 2 albums were both released within the same year, and they both went multi-platinum. What other rapper has been able to do that? Because of how deep his lyrical content is, DMX has been compared a lot to the late great Tupac Shakur. Whenever someone can be compared to Tupac, it says a lot about that artists talent. This is another artist who has made a huge impact in hip-hop, but lacks the respect he absolutely deserves. How DMX isn't considered one of the best ever, likely has to do with the exposure of his drug problem.

Twista

This Chi-town representative is one of the best in the game, but lacks respect more so due to the lack of proper promotion. There isn't one Twista album that is garbage. Every since Adrenaline Rush, Twista has been on fire. Another reason he may not get the respect he deserves is his swift style. Some fans just don't know how to listen faster, which could be the reason he has slowed it down more often lately. Twista is one of a kind, and has been in the rap game for a very long time. To this day, his promotion team isn't doing their job right, otherwise we would know he released an album before it already sold a couple hundred thousand copies.

There are several other rappers who have come, gone, and are still here who are underrated and don't get the respect they deserve. Master P, DMX, and Twista are probably the 3 most underrated rappers of all time. These artists have made many albums, that are soundtracks to eras, in the lives of many.
