Rapper KRS-One's Son Commits Suicide

Andrew Bess
Randy Hubbard Parker, the son of Simone G. Parker and stepson of old-school rapper KRS-One committed suicide after suffering a long time with a case of severe depression.

Parker was found dead in his Atlanta, Georgia apartment. The Fulton County Medical Examiner's office said Parker died on Friday from a gunshot wound to the head, and they listed the cause of death as a suicide. Parker was 23 years young.

Parker, born in Queens, New York, was a fashion graphic designer. KRS-One was much like a real father to the victim according to friends close to the family. KRS-One and mother Simone G. Parker have worked together as a married couple for many years. Randy Hubbard Parker has even produced songs for the KRS's albums and managed the old-school rapper.

A personal memorial will be held on July 18th, which would have been Parker's 24th birthday.

Very sad. And he was so young. It is very sad for a parent to lose a child, especially to a sudden death

Tragic. Although I understand depression (wish I didn't!), I feel for the family. Survivors have it rough.

That is really sad to hear. I can not imagine what KRS is going through.
