Rapper Young Buck Experiences IRS Raid at His Home

The IRS has raided the home of rapper Young Buck, 29, in Hendersonville, Tenn. on August 3, and removed items worth tens of thousands of dollars. The IRS claims Young Buck, whose real name is David Darnell Brown, owes in excess of $300,000 for delinquent taxes in years 2006-2008.

Brown's lawyers filed paperwork in July in an attempt to avoid levy or seizure of his assets.

Among the items seized by the IRS were a $31,000 Breitling watch, a Scarface poster, platinum records, recording equipment, computers, video game components and jewelry. Brown stated some of the items seized were property that belonged to family members.

He laid the blame on others, "This IRS situation came about because I trusted accountants, lawyers and managers to handle my business for me while I focused on making music. From now on, I am going to stay on top of my own business."

He continued, "I have a new team in place, but I am also paying full attention now. Nothing like this will ever happen again. This is a huge wake-up call for all entertainers to stay on top of your own employees and team members, and replace anyone that was put in place by your record label if the situation you have goes sour."
