RCA Alarm Clock Review

Who ever thought an alarm clock could be cool? I certainly didn't, until I saw it for the first time. The display flashes about 4 different colors, had a built in AM/FM radio, plus, you can even tune it to a TV station and listen to it. It also has a bult in weather alert, so with the press of a button, you can hear the weather conditions in your area. It even has a built in Cd player too. I have owned mine for 6 years now, and I have dropped it, left it in the heat, and everything else, and it still runs.

Well, except for the Cd player anyway. The Cd player went pretty fast actually, and just by opening it you can tell it probably won't last. The actual Cd player on mine still works, just not very well. However, Iam sure the Cd player would have lasted me a little longer if I hadn't dropped it. On the bottom of the clock there is place where you can put in a 9 volt battery, so when the power goes off it will keep time for you. There are also buttons on the bottom for daylight savings time. So instead of setting the clock forward an hour, just select one of the four buttons, and it will do it for you.

There are also two alarms on it. Both sound the same, but it helps if it takes more than one alarm to wake you up. However, turning them off can be annoying sometimes, since to turn the alarm off, you have to hit cancel, and then the alarm button. There's also an annoying setting called "nap". If you don't know how to disable it, you will get seriously annoyed really fast by it, and wind up unplugging the unit. So, before using, I highly suggest reading the manual.

Another thing I like is how I can set the display to be one of the four colors, or set the display to turn bright when the lights are on, and dim when their out. All in all, if your looking for a cool alarm clock, then this is what you need. Even if your looking for just a normal one, this is the best alarm clock ever. I would suggest not dropping it though, since some parts of it aren't really built that well. However, it is just one of those things where if you take care of it, it will last you a long time.
