RCA LCD TV 46LA45RQ for Only $549.99

Cheap Price for a 46 Inch Television

Susan Slade
We have a Sony Bravia 40 inch LCD HD television that we purchased 3 years ago. We live in a townhouse, and have a complete condo upstairs. The living area is small so we chose the 40 inch, which is perfect there.

We have a large 'playroom' downstairs that is 800 square feet. We have 2 large desks with our computers either side, and had a 26 inch television between them. We measured to see what size television we could put in that area, and came up with a 46 inch.

After checking with Sears and Best Buy, we decided to purchase the RCA LCD TV 46LA45RQ. We went to Sears and they didn't have any in stock, and wouldn't sell us the one in the store. We then went to Best Buy, and they told us the same thing.

We went online through Best Buy and ordered it. We were told that it could take a month to get to our local store. It arrived in less than a week. The price was $549.99, reduced down from $799.99 + sales tax. We picked it up from the store, and brought it home.

The box is huge, but it was easy for Len and myself to carry it into the house. After opening the box, we carefully slid it out.

The television has a black surround to it. It had a label on it stating:
46" LCD TV.
Full HD 1080p.
PC & game input.
HDMI x 3.

This television can be wall mounted, and I would suggest doing this, if you have small children around. We decided to attach the stand to it, which only took a few minutes. We do have it on a television stand, but being a large television, we decided to attach it to the wall, to make sure that it will not go over.

Although I have written about our televisions, I am not into the technical stuff. What I wanted, and have got, is a television that works with our cable network, works with the D.V.D., and that I can connect my computer up to.

We first used it as a television and watched our favorite programs. The clarity was great. Len played about with it, and got a perfect color.

Next we played our Blockbuster video that come in the mail, and that we pick up in the store. These looked really clear.

We belong to a site on the Internet where we can download English soaps. We connected the computer to the RCA 46 inch TV, and watched them. We had to use speakers with the TV to get a great sound. Our programs where the clearest we have seen them.

In the 42 page User's Manual that came with it there are chapters on:
Safety Precautions.
Preparation for your new TV.
TV stand installation.
TV signal connection.
Cable connections.
Side panel connections.
TV jacks explanation.
Side keypad and front panel.
Remote control instructions.
Questions and answers.
On page 39 it has the product specifications, which I am not going into, and then the limited warranty.

Len has taught me what I need to know. I can turn it go, watch television, D.V.D.'s, and my computer programs. If I can do this, anyone can.

This is an easy to set up, great value, large TV. It looks elegant, and does all that I ask of it. When I think that we paid more than twice the price for our smaller television, I know we have a bargain with this one.

RCA is a brand that I trust. We recently got rid of our 35 inch RCA television that we purchased 23 years ago. It was still working, and had a great picture. One of our friends is still using it.

I just wish we could grow more in Florida, but it is so difficult with all the sandy earth.
