RCNITROTALK.COM: A Great Forum for Everything Radio Control

Derek Odom
A couple of years ago I scored a pretty good deal on a 2.5 Traxxas SportMaxx (or S-Maxx, the two-wheel drive version of the T-Maxx) with a bad engine. Being completely new to both nitro cars and RC, I needed a forum where I could get answers. After a bit of browsing and checking out sites, I decided on http://www.rcnitrotalk.com/forum/ as my RC home base. It's a great group.

Although they are heavily geared toward nitro RC car discussions on the forum, the users there are into just about everything, it seems. There are sub-forums for both nitro and electric cars, as well as aircraft and marine, rock crawlers, touring and even radios. No matter what your question or concern, if it has to do with RC someone at RCNITROTALK.COM can help.

Just from knowledge I gathered at the forum alone, I had my Maxx up and running in no time. I could take the engine apart, I could diagnose glow plugs and I could tune the carburetor. The place amazed me and before long I became a supporter, sending in $5.00 a month to help the place out. They sure helped me.

Recently I got into the rock crawling aspect of RC and purchased an Axial AX10 Scorpion (pictured). I was once again bugging the guys at RCNITROTALK.COM, but this time for a completely different car. Again, they were and continue to be very helpful and friendly. They helped me to understand what the first upgrades should be to my RC crawler, and one member (slowngreen) even made me custom lower links out of Delrin, a tough and slippery plastic that works well in the rocks. Folks, it doesn't get much cooler than that on an RC forum. Whether you are into nitro cars, electric racers or crawlers, airplanes or boats or anything in between, RCNITROTALK.COM really is a great place to hang out. Some of their personal rigs are absolutely awe-inspiring. The guys there have given me super-helpful tips on tires, RC body painting, servos, radios, motors and just about everything else imaginable about the RC world. It is truly a great place to be, both for information and good people. Go to http://www.rcnitrotalk.com/forum/ and introduce yourself. Tell 'em Skwerly sent ya.
