Real Estate in Albany New York

Regina Sass
Albany is the Capital of New York State And right on the Hudson River. It is about a 2 and a half hour trip to Penn Station in New York City by Amtrak and it is the home of Albany International Airport. The New York State Thruway runs right through Albany, and it is a short trip to the Canadian Border. There is one thing you will notice about the real estate in Albany and that is the absence of condos. With the prices of one family homes being reasonable compared to other major cities, condos are just not a viable fixture. As you can see, there is a big differential in real estate prices in Albany, New York. The lower prices ones can be way more than 100 years old, with some of them more than 150 and they are very small, not really suitable for a family. Some of the Victorians have been meticulously restored and are well worth the money, but on small plots of land, detached houses, but close together. The ranch houses are newer and have good size yards, and of course, the mansions speak for themselves.

Take a look at everything that is available in your price range. There is not a large number of homes available in Albany New York, so when you see what you want grab it. There is enough variety of real estate so there will be a style to fit almost anyone.
