Real Home Security

You've watched the local news more times than you care to remember where the top news of the day was another murder, kidnapping, rape or other tale of carnage and mayhem. You've carefully considered the odds of becoming the next victim and you know that they're not in your favor. What can you do to protect yourself and your loved ones?

Let's be truthful. You're probably aren't in shape to take on an assailant. Maybe with a large bank account and a world class martial arts teacher, you could change that, in ten years or so. That doesn't help you at all right now. You need protection now. Perhaps if your bank account was large enough, you could skip the martial arts class and hire a bodyguard. That would be immediate help, but not very practical for most of us.

I want to challenge your thinking ability for a moment. If I could wave a magic wand and grant you the power to instantly incapacitate the biggest criminal, would you be interested? If I could teach you a secret martial arts move so powerful that you could rend your opponents skin and break his bones from across the room, would you think yourself worthy of such power?

Do you have the manual dexterity to drive a car? Can you brush your teeth or use a keyboard? Are you an adult of legal age, of sound mind with no criminal record? Then you most likely have the ability to to buy the solution to your self defense problem...a handgun.

A handgun makes a woman able to defend herself against the largest muscle bound thug. A handgun makes the smallest man able to take down the biggest bad guy in town. Handgun carry permits are available, handgun training is available and most working folks can find a handgun in their price range. Best of all, you can learn in thirty minutes enough to know how to defend your life and the lives of those you love. So the real question is, are you willing to exercise your constitutional right to legally buy and carry a handgun for self defense?

I don't think I would have had enough time to get it. He climbed on top of me while I was sleeping and held a knife to my throat. Plus I believe that if I'm going to threaten somebody, I should follow through with my threat, and I don't believe I'm capable of killing somebody, but thanks for the advice.

I'd buy a shot gun if i was in the same house as I was in when I came face to face with my assailants. It's an easy shot, can't miss really - fun to shoot at the range too. Great tips Wiley.

I have a personal preference for the Shaolin Spade. Long enough to keep a safe distance and easily decapitate your assailant with its sharp, curved blade.
