Today there are replicas on the market that have the look and flash of the expensive watches that today have become a status symbol.
Where was your watch made? By looking at the back [bezil] of your watch you can tell if it is well made or a cheap fake.
But if you are looking for a replica that looks nice and has the feel of the real thing, then you could spend about $100 and buy a Geneva watch which is Swiss made any way and besides Geneva is a sister company to Rolex, believe it or not.
But remember you get what you pay for, so if you want a watch that is going to last a lifetime, then purchase a Rolex or a Omega or a Swiss army watch.
However if you are able to purchase a well made watch, remember to check with a reputable watch maker or repairman.
But remember if it looks to good to be true, it probably is.

I found this bit of info from a friend who specializes in watch repair, I also did a corporate search on geneva watch company any way down the line it is owned by the corporation that crafts the Rolex.
I thought Geneva was out of Hong Kong? Universal Geneve is also out of Hong Kong. I know Tudor is a sister company to Rolex - where did you find info on the Geneva/Rolex connection? I'd love to investigate that further! Thanks for your help!
