In the school of life there are many exceptions to the rules.
The games that people play are not always predetermined by another person's
moves.
Common sense can lose the race so sprint lightly in order to maintain a steady
pace.
The only thing within an individual's control is keeping his or her faith
And unfortunately back to square one can become a person's fate.
The textbooks for success can suddenly become out of date
But despite it all learn to smile and keep a hopeful expression on your face.
Also note to self as the old saying goes, "There is a thin line between
love and hate"
For emotions can run high and in an instant ideal love can suddenly fade.
Friends will come and go so travel without grudges to lighten your soul.
Take the bitter with the sweet for a more peaceful journey to growing old.
Like or not the truth is often hidden
So believe "half of what is seen and some and none of what you are told."
Preparation is a key that open doors but plans can still unravel
And circumstances can take you on the road less traveled.
Life will continue to be a test to see how much you can handle.
The class of Real World 101 has no lesson plans
There is no midterm or final exam
But no one is exempt from these challenges
For these life experiences are not partial to a woman or man
