Below is a list of the challengers along with some of their history. Now on with the show!
TJ Lavin greeted the cast members in British Columbia and pointed out that there are only 12 veterans and said there would be a twist later. The Fresh Meat came out to greet the veterans so pairs could be made. Wes said KellyAnne and him have stopped dating and this season he wants to form alliances and pretend to make friends to make it further in the game. We all know Wes was a drama king last year so this will be hard for him! The veterans were given a book full of stats about the Fresh Meat. The vets were assigned random numbers and got to pick in that order.
The Pairs:
- Darrell and Cara Maria
- Jenn and Noor
- Kenny and Laurel
- Danny and Sandy
- Wes and Mandi
- Ryan and Theresa
- CJ and Sydney
- Landon and Carley
- Paula and Jeff
- Sarah and Vinny
- Jillian and Pete
- Katelynn and Brandon
- Luke was left alone... but there is a twist! Well not really. Turns out one of the veterans couldn't make it into the country and his replacement partner will arrive later in the show.
Exile: This season there will be an exile. The winning pair gets to send another team into exile each week, then the rest of the teams vote to send someone else in.
Prize Money: Four teams will make it to the finals and fight for $300k in prize money. $200k for first place, $60k for second place, $40k for third place, and nothing for fourth place.
Everyone was talking about Coral for some reason and guess who showed up at the door! Nope it wasn't Coral, that was just a tease. Evelyn was the final veteran and she would be paired with Luke. Evelyn was on the original Fresh Meat as a newbie.
On the first night all the Fresh Meat were getting pretty wasted and there was already a lot of coupling. Some of the veterans just sat back and watched all the craziness. They are vets so they know better! Katelynn got into game play mode right away by trying to align with Sarah. However she wasn't willing to kiss up to Kenny like Sarah wanted to. Kenny overheard Katelynn's plan to get rid of Kenny or Wes so said he had to align with Wes right now. Darrell decided to go with the flow and let the other people create enemies.
Kenny, Wes and Danny got together in private to make their alliance and Wes's plan was to get rid of Darrell as early as possible because he wins too much.
The First Challenge: Pairs would be moving oversized balls through a mudpit as fast as possible. It was like a game of musical chairs where some players would be eliminated each round. One teammate would go in blindfolded while their partner would try to talk them through it. Evelyn called it "blindfolded, mud wrestling, musical chairs". Where do they come up with these things?
The First Round had the guys in the mud with the female partners giving direction. Some of the guys got lucky and got a ball right away, others were fighting over balls, and a few people couldn't even find a ball. The first players eliminated were Ryan, Luke, Danny and Vinny. For the girls turn, there were only 5 balls to find. The girls moved with a lot of caution and there was no fighting really. The players eliminated were Cara Maria, Mandi, Paula and Sydney.
With 5 guys left, they ran like mad into the mud looking for three balls. Noor found a ball but was hilarious because he couldn't find the exit to the pit! This caused Kenny to steal his ball, which was then stolen by Landon. The final three teams for this challenge were: Katelynn and Brandon, Landon and Carley and Kenny and Laurel. The girls would be doing the final round. Carley got the ball easily with no challenge but Laurel heard her coming and stole the ball away winning the challenge.
Exiled: Landon was worried because he hadn't heard much from the rest of them, but Kenny told him not to worry. Darrell guessed he would go in since no one talked to him. Wes told Brandon "vote like your partner does" but wouldn't tell him who to vote for, said he would find out when the vote happened. These veterans are so cocky sometimes!
Kenny put Darrell and Cara Maria into exile as expected. Cara Maria felt bad and thought it was all Kenny's idea but Darrell told her it was Wes's plan, he just knew it. Wes got the entire house to vote for Pete and Jillian and this made Kenny realize that Wes has a lot of power. Wes's idea was that Pete and Jill should send Darrell home because they are strong, but this move scared Kenny who couldn't trust Wes anymore.
Back to more partying! It wouldn't be a challenge if there wasn't a party. Everyone else knew they were safe and got the party started but this caused Cara Maria to FREAK OUT! She yelled that they are up for elimination and they want some respect. Of course, this caused Wes to be even more loud and obnoxious because he blames Darrell for nominating him in the past.
Theresa has a huge crush on Kenny but also likes Wes saying he's the "safer" pick. I don't know about that, Wes is a little nut. She flirted with Kenny but he said he "comes to win, not to fraternize with slutty girls".
Exile Competition: The two teams were taken away in blindfolds to their Exile challenge. The pairs would have to navigate themselves through a trail filled with puzzle while carrying 40-60 pound backpacks. First was a number challenge where they had to do math, which they got through pretty quickly. Then it came time to navigate the trail and Pete and Jillian had trouble finding their way. The second puzzle was to arrange shapes into an outline which Pete and Jill completed quickly and they ran past the other team.
Jillian started to get worn out with the 40 pound backpack but they were still ahead because Cara Maria looked like she could hardly walk causing Darrell to be very frustrated. Pete and Jill finished the next puzzle ahead but Darrell and Cara Maria were not far behind them. Darrell took Cara Maria's bag but it was too little too late because Pete and Jillian crossed the line first.
Darrell and Cara Maria were the first pair eliminated from Fresh Meat II. However, Darrell wasn't going home without a game plan! He told Pete and Jill to get rid of Wes next. The players anxiously waited to see who would come home and most were cheering when they saw Pete and Jill come back. Wes was especially excited, but Kenny said he would let the other guys kill each other off before he makes any big moves.

Post a CommentFunny thing is, I got bored with blogging it after the first episode :) It's not as exciting as previous seasons, but I still watch it!
Thanks for this - now I don't have to watch the show! :)
