Reality Sets In: Stephanie Pratt of MTV's 'The Hills' Arrested, Pratt Unhappy with Reality Show

Pratt's DUI is the Most Real Thing to Happen to This Reality Show for Quite Some Time

Stephanie Pratt, the 23 year old star of MTV's "reality" series The Hills, was arrested over the weekend for suspicion of drunk driving. Pratt's DUI arrest is the most "real" thing that has happened to a Hills cast member in quite some time.

According to MTV.com, Pratt's arrest came Saturday at 3:45 a.m. after a night of partying at L.A. club Empire, with friends and other Hills cast members, to celebrate the birthday of Holly Montag, the sister of Hills star Heidi Montag Pratt. It was not clear if the Hills cameras were at Empire as the twentysomething friends partied or if Pratt's arrest was captured on tape. Pratt, whose bail was set at $50p00, was released from jail on Sunday morning.

This is not the first time Pratt has been in the news. Pratt's mug shot from her 2006 arrest for drug possession has been tabloid fodder for years. And in June 2009, Pratt graced the cover of US Magazine with a cover story titled "The Hills made Me Bulimic". Pratt detailed how difficult it was to work with the cast of skinny girls on The Hills. Pratt also appeared in an exclusive interview with talk show host Tyra Banks to discuss her eating disorder. This season on The Hills Pratt has lost a considerable amount of weight.

Pratt has also been vocal about her dislike for new Hills star Kristin Cavallari, saying telling US Magazine readers that she's in an "I Hate Kristin" alliance with fellow cast mate Audrina Patridge . Pratt has alluded to the fact that this will be her last season of The Hills, despite her fat paycheck.

Pratt has long complained about how The Hills has ruined her life. In an article on Fancast.com, Pratt blamed The Hills for her some of her self esteem issues. She's also not too thrilled that her real life BFF, actress Roxy Olin, moved to New York to join The Hills' sister show, The City. According to Pratt, she arranged with Hills producer Adam DiVello to get her long time friend Olin on The Hills, but instead DiVello cast Olin for The City, as Whitney Port's grade school chum (Olin's parents, Brothers and Sisters stars Ken Olin and Patricia Wettig, were apparently unsupportive of their daughter's move to reality TV).

With a reality show that appears to be loosely scripted (former star Lauren Conrad spilled the beans that a phone call between her and Spencer Pratt was staged), Pratt's days on The Hills are certainly numbered. Between her off-screen antics and complaining- and now her DUI charge- Pratt may want to take a look at her real life and get it in order before airing anymore of her dirty laundry.

I don't have cable, so I don't know much about this show, but it all sounds very dramatic!
