Reality TV Romance: Are Mark Ballas and Pia Toscano Dating?

"Dancing With the Stars" pro dancer Mark Ballas may be burning the floor with partner Chelsea Kane, but he is reportedly keeping some other company during his free time.

According to a report on Access Hollywood, Ballas is being linked with former "American Idol" contestant Pia Toscano. The pair were spotted having dinner together on Friday night in Century City, just 24 hours after Toscano had a really bad night on the "American Idol" stage.

Toscano, who was shockingly ousted from the singing competition last week, has reportedly had a crush on the "DWTS" pro dancer. Enter adjoining studio lots and a little matchmaker elf named Chris Jericho and you may just have a romance made in reality TV heaven.

Toscano is not Ballas' first date with an "American Idol" contestant, though.

Back in 2009 he was in a long term relationship with "Idol" alum Joanna Pacitti. Pacitti was disqualified from the show after reaching the Top 36 due to her previous friendships with 19 Entertainment execs.

As for Toscano, when she was living in the "Idol" mansion, rumors were swirling that she was cozying up with fellow contestant Stefano Langone. Since Langone -- who was also in the bottom three last week-- ultimately stayed on the show and she went home, that may have put a damper on things.

Meanwhile, the Toscano- Ballas romance-- if there is one-- will surely be scrutinized over the coming weeks. Besides their reality TV connection, the pair have something else in common: a love of music. Ballas and "DWTS' pal Derek Hough have their own band, The Ballas Hough Band, which performed on "DWTS" back in 2009. Maybe he can get Pia on the show as a musical guest (hey, Chris Daughtry did it!).

And even if it doesn't work out, Toscano has other things to keep her busy: the pretty songbird has already nabbed herself a recording contract with Interscope. Guess it pays to know Jimmy Iovine.
