Reality TV Shows

Is there anyone else addicted to trashy reality TV shows? Because I am! It is not something I like admitting but my addiction has grown over the summer (probably due to the amount of time on my hands). I know that I lose brain cells and time by watching these types of shows but I do enjoy them.

So which shows am I talking about? "I Love Money" on VH1 is one of the shows. Absolutely retarded! And that is part of what is appealing. It is just the fact that people actually go on these shows and let America (and the world) see the best and the worst of themselves. I personally would not have the guts to do something like that no matter how much money they offer me. For most of the contestants these shows are just publicity so that they can get their acting, music, or other entertaining career off the ground.

The Real World is another one of the reality shows I like to watch. It is not very hard to produce. Put a bunch of young, hormone driven, adults together and what do you get? Drinking and sex of course! There is always drama in the house due to individual views and beliefs and if we are lucky they lead to fights. It is interesting to see what experience the people get and what they are able to take home with them.

Any TV show involving Diddy (also known as P. Diddy and Puff Daddy) has me interested. Diddy is a media mogul. He knows how to sell to young adults and he can produce the things that they want. His newest TV show, I Want to Work for Diddy, is definitely a spin-off of The Apprentice but has enough flair to keep me interested. It can be boring sometimes but I like to see what it is that successful people look for in their employees.

I mentioned The Apprentice and it is one of the reality shows that I like to watch. It is not as trashy as some of the above but some of the contestants can get under your skin. Omarosa was one of the most controversial contestants ever. I disliked her so much that I tuned in each week just so I could hate on each move she made. If you are interested in business or in the successfulness of Trump then you might want to tune into The Apprentice.

I am going to figure that since these types of shows are still on, that I am not the only person who watches them. I do enjoy these shows even though they are not educational and I do not always garner something useful from them. Sometimes it is nice to just give our minds a break from the constant work and strain of day-to-day life.
