Make Yourself at Home
Ever wanted to feel average and normal about your personal Star Trek connection? There is a great positive energy in a place where everyone is happily seeking out what they love. You may meet a new longtime friend or even someone who's willing to reenact a scene from Risa with you. One thing is certain; you will feel at home among other Trek fans.
What Happens in Vegas...
Creation Entertainment's biggest Star Trek convention of the year is held in Las Vegas. Enjoy the sun, the shows, and the Cardassians. Check out the props, costumes, and full immersion of Star Trek: The Experience while you're in town.
You Need a Vacation
Take a few days off and check out the Trek Trak at DragonCon in Atlanta. How about visiting Germany and hitting FedCon while you're there? Star Trek conventions happen all over the world so you can try for a chance to meet your favorite actors while enjoying sightseeing and travel of a new place.
Meet and Greet
Most conventions offer autograph signing and photo opportunities with your favorite actors. It's a rare chance to ask a question to Captain Janeway or Quark. A lot of conventions also organize ticketed events where a very small crowd of fans are invited to dine or do dessert with Worf or Data. Take away a souvenir or a personal experience with someone whose work you have greatly admired for years.
Did Someone Say Shopping?
Vendors and collectors bring out their best merchandise for Star Trek conventions. Pick up a t-shirt that says 'I Feel the Need for Warp Speed' or 'It's Not Love, It's Pon Farr'. Add a Star Trek Barbie and Ken to your collection. Been looking for that new Star Trek Pez set - someone will be selling it. All the toys and books and art you've looked at on the internet for years will be right there for the buying. Buy for everyone on your Christmas list.
Creative Costumes
Those with a crafty bent can let out their inner Nurse Chappell in an Original Series miniskirt. Tough guys don a Klingon forehead. You can be anyone you want and wear whatever suits you. Stick on your Vulcan ears or rip your shirt and go as Captain Kirk. Buy a Starfleet uniform shirt or have your picture taken with the Andorian sitting next to you in the audience. You're only limited by your imagination.
