For example, let's say you came home from a hard day at the office. A co-worker had really made you mad for who knows what reason exactly, but you are really peeved about it. Instead of taking it out on your loved ones, why not sit down at your computer and express it in your online blog. Some sites let you make a private one if you don't want the general public to view your most personal thoughts, or you can create a public one and get some useful feedback sometimes from total strangers.
It's not healthy to hold in negative thoughts, anger, or any other type of emotion that can be damaging to your health. Blogging is the alternative and no one is there to judge you or to argue back with you, well in most cases there isn't. Sometimes there will be that one jerk that wants to criticize everything that you write and will speak his or her mind about your blog. Don't let that discourage you though, blogging is great fun as well as an emotional release. Think of it as therapeutic and could save you thousands on psychiatric bills.
Celebration is a great reason to blog. Perhaps there is a new addition to your family, whether it is a baby, husband/wife, or maybe a new pet. Blogging to celebrate these special occasions is a great way to share your happiness with others in your life and the entire world.
Meeting new people is a fantastic reason to blog. You might want to just meet new fellow bloggers and share in their experiences too. You can meet many bloggers who share the same interests as you do. Not only are you helping your mental health, but you can also make long lasting relationships with other bloggers who may be able to relate to your blog. They may be able to help you out with a dilemma and vice versa.
Another reason to blog perhaps is just to share a small part of your life with others in the cyber world. Maybe you have friends or family on the other side of the country and you want to share photos with them. Photoblogging has become quite popular through the cyber world and makes it much easier and cheaper to share those memories with others. There are millions of reasons to blog, and you know what those reasons are. Blogging can be fun, so enjoy and blog your heart out.
A few of the most popular places that are free to start up your own blog whether it is public or private are www.blogger.com, www.myspace.com, and www.aol.com. If none of these are suitable for you, you can always google free blogs and find the one that may fit your needs. You can share photos, chat, and express yourself in the blogging world in ways you sometimes just can't do in the real world. You should try it if you haven't yet.
