First: Tardiness occurs. If you are late to work, you will not complete as much work as you should, especially if you do not stay after your shift ends to make up for what you missed. Although you might get away with this at first, you probably will not get away with it for long.
Second: There is incompetence. It is important to take a position you are qualified for.
Third: There is miscommunication. This will happen if you do not listen closely enough to any instructions or advice that is given. If you do not clearly hear what someone says, ask for clarification.
Fourth: A poor attitude exists. You are obligated to care enough to do your work thoroughly.
Fifth: Distraction occurs. It is vital to not let your mind wander or bring in the worries you have outside of your career.
Sixth: Keyboard typing is done too slowly. It is essential to learn to type quickly and accurately if you have a data entry position or any other position that includes a lot of typing.
Seventh: Procrastination occurs. You should begin each task as soon as possible.
Eighth: There is too much tension or stress. It is helpful to relax and not let pressure overwhelm you.
Ninth: Pride gets in the way. Do not be ashamed to seek help if you need it.
Tenth: Malfunctions occur. It is vital to have equipment and software that function greatly. If you are working on a Microsoft Word document, it is important to save your document the right way. A few weeks ago while writing an article, my computer suddenly shut down and my work was lost.
My file did not recover any of the work I did during that session even though I constantly used the File-Save (Ctrl + S) option. After that, I started constantly saving my work and then closing my file before resuming my document. Now, if my computer suddently shuts down or Microsoft Word crashes, I will not lose any of my work.
Eleventh: There is a lack of effort or cooperation. It is imperative to do everything you are supposed to do to the best of your ability whether you work alone or in a group.
Twelfth: There is arrogance. You must not act like you know everything and refuse to be taught a new way to do your job.
Thirteenth: There is a lack of physical energy. You must get an adequate amount of nutrition, sleep and exercise.
Keep in mind what you have learned to avoid having work assignment failures!
