Emotionally Related Problems that Cause Lack of Sexual Desire
Relationships: Problems in a relationship will definitely cause lack of sexual desire in women. Everything is connected for women. If she is not happy with the relationship in general, she will not want to have sex.
Psychological Problems: Stress, anxiety, and depression can all cause lack of sexual desire for women. When a woman feels bad or is overstressed, the last thing on her mind is sex.
Physical Problems that Cause Lack of Sexual Desire
Vaginal Pain: Any problems with the vagina itself can cause a lack of desire. These include vaginal dryness, vaginitis, and painful spasms that occur in the vagina. Vaginal spasms, or Vaginismus, can be caused by infection, scars, abuse, and irritation.
STD's: Sexually transmitted diseases such as Gonorrhea, genital warts, syphilis, herpes and Chlamydia, can cause pain, not to mention they are infectious. A responsible woman will not wish to have sex with one of these conditions present.
Medical Conditions: Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, Endometriosis, nerve damage from surgery, pelvic masses, cysts, and infections will all lead to a lack of sexual desire by women because they make sex painful.

Other Reasons for Lack of Sexual Desire in Women
Medications: Certain medications will cause a lack of sexual desire. Drugs for high blood pressure, depression, and cancer are among medications that cause this problem.
Abuse: A woman that has been sexually abused will often suffer from a lack of sexual desire. She will view all sex in the same light as the attack.
Relationships and Ideals: People have different beliefs about sex. Some cultures and religions don't encourage active sex lives. Also, if a woman's partner has a sexual problem she may develop a lack of desire as a result of lack of satisfaction.
Some of the problems that result in lack of sexual desire in woman can be controlled. Staying healthy, getting regular checkups, and seeking treatment for psychological disorders will help. Taking with counselors about sexual abuse, being open in relationships, and talking with the doctor about the side effects of certain medications are other ways to help. Getting medical conditions and emotional problems under control can result in a reemergence of sexual desire.
