Reasons You Might Consider Writing Under a Pen Name

Michelle Knudson
Many people don't want to put their real name online. You may be quite amazed at how much information that Google can find out. Don't put anything online that you would be embarrassed by if your family or priest found it on the Internet. Here are four reasons you might consider writing under a pen name.

Your Sex Stories

You might want to use a pen name on any sex stories that you decide to publish online. You would feel pretty weird if someone ran across it like your grandma or relative. You wouldn't some people in real life know what you write in some cases. You are better off just writing under a pen name for anything that you feel uncomfortable letting other people see once the article is published.

Stalker

You need a pen name when you discover that your jealous ex is stalking you online. You may be surprised to find out that he has been reading every article that you have ever published. He may be reading all of your articles to see how much you write about him. He may want to know how hung up on you are about him after all of these years have passed. He may not realize that it isn't that you are hung up about him, but it makes you feel better like a therapy session when you write about him. It may creep you out to know that he reads every article that you publish.

Poor Quality Keyword Articles

Some articles may have so many keywords stuffed into the text that you are embarrassed to have your name associated with them. You need to use a pen name in order to make sure that people don't see poor articles that are not your best work due to clients demands. The keyword articles are just for a quick dollar here and there that isn't really that important so just use a pen name.

Tutorials

Some tutorials may have bored you to death that you never want your name associated with it ever again in your life. Tutorials can be quite time consuming to put together and accurate information contained within the pages. Some projects are ghostwritten. Some writing gigs the client decides to leave the name of the writer on it so make sure to use a pen name in this case.
