Post a CommentInterestingly enough, my little Maltese is mostly fearless. He does take some time to get used to new things but proper training and care is taking care of all his little fears, and he's only 4 months old! He used to be afraid of buses, but now he can't wait to get on one. It's just a matter of providing the right training, positive training. He isn't afraid to stand his ground in front of bullying dogs. He is very quiet, almost too quiet for a dog, and the only time he barks is either while playing with other dogs to communicate with them or if he needs to go outside to eliminate while I'm ignoring him completely. He is a very kind, gentle, intelligent dog. He loves affection, he learns quickly, and now he even sits to be petted. Yes, he is attached to people who take care of him but he settles down fairly quickly in their absence too. We just have to learn to understand their needs. Not all dogs are the same, but with proper training and care they can be well-behaved.
this article is so wrong its rediculous. Yes, they are quick to sound the alarm. AT ANYTHING THAT MOVES OR MAKES THE SLIGHTEST SOUND. Yes, they are very affectionate. So affectionate that you should buy a house cat because thats exactly how they act. Fearless? wow this is the biggest overstatement ever. This is the most scared dog i have ever seen in my life. They do follow their owners everywhere and are basically addicted to their owners. What i am saying is if you want a dog that acts just like a cat but barks all the time at nothing, then this is a good choice for you.
