Reasons Why the Paparazzi May Be Pursuing Britney Spears

Why Pursue Britney Spears?

Lately many persons among us have been wondering why the paparrazi have been eagerly chasing celebrities such as Britney Spears. For a week cannot go by, it seems without us hearing or learning about some new event in this person's life.

So I have composed a list of possible reasons of my own below:

1. JFK Jr. had been in the spotlight since he was an infant. When his private jet crashed with him, his late wife and sister-in-law in it, back on July 16th 1999, their deaths left an irreplaceable gap not in just those who loved them, but also in the daily lives of the paparrazi. There was suddenly one less celebrity for the paparrazi to follow around with their cameras and microphones.

2. When Anna Nicole Smith suddenly passed away earlier this year, (February 8th 2007) that also left a void in the world of the paparrazi. Again, she was one less celebrity they would have to concern themselves with.

3. Soldiers are dying or being wounded in Iraq everyday, but the celebrity journalists leave that task to the serious news journalists. Or maybe, some people would rather tune in to the goings on with their favourite celebrity. It's glamourous, entertaining and less stressful.

4. Similarly, maybe some people are fed up of the war and want it over already. Who knew it would have lasted this long?

5. The celebrity magazines and tabloids are still selling out like crazy, so obviously, the paparrazi think many people want to know what Britney Spears and others are doing.

6. Somebody needs to keep abreast with the goings on in the lives of celebrities, and who better to that than celebrity journalists? Right?

Maybe some people are genuinely concerened about what Britney Spears does. For not only is she a celebrity, but also a parent, someone's daughter, sibling etc, and most of all, a fellow human being.

And whatever other reasons there are, if any, if the piece of data makes it to the evening or entertainment news, tabloids etc, and if that's the end result the paparrazi is expecting, then they have done their job.

Especially if reporting about celebrities is their job.

Hi Missy, I agree with you. Unless that is something I do to earn a living, if I ever came close enough to a celebrity, I think I would leave him/her alone.
After all, apart from making millions of dollars doing what they do, they're just humans like the rest of us and deserve a right to their privacy the same way we want our privacy.

I actually had the opportunity to photograph someone paparazzi style but I personally couldn't do it!!!! #1 I don't want this person to think of me as a stalker!! #2 it just 'ain't right!!! I'm not above gawking but taking out my camera & clicking away to earn extra cash I can't do it!
