Reasons Why Short Hair is Better Then Long Hair

Angel
I decided to write this to convince myself to do something about my hair length. Long hair verses short hair is something everyone woman has to think about at some point in their lives. I decided to go through the list of why short hair is better then long hair, not just simply because it saves money or time but to get the bigger picture.

If you have long hair you are using more shampoo and conditioner which cost you more money. All the more reason short hair is better then long hair. A little dab will do you.

Long hair takes twice as long to fix as short hair. Especially if you are doing curls.

Short hair can be colored with one coloring box and often half, depending upon the thickness and length of your hair.

Short hair can be permed with one perm box, and you can easily do it at home yourself. Perming long hair at home is an impossible task, and I pity anyone who would try.

Long hair gets caught in things like doors for example.

Short hair styles are sleek and elegant though longer hair styles like the French twist look sleek an elegant too you are limited with sleek and elegant styles with the longer hair.

Short hair can feel great on hot summer days, long hair you can only pony tail and even then it's still hot.

When sleeping on long hair you can roll over and pull your hair, not so with short hair.

Short hair doesn't get caught up in your vacuum's brush, long hair wraps around it and needs cut off with scissors.

Short hair you can just run your fingers through and it's fixed attempting to do that with long hair and your fingers may end up caught.

Wind doesn't affect short hair like it does long hair.

Though you can do a lot with long hair styles, short hair styles don't cost as much. You don't have to have all the little tools of the trade.

Long hair takes twice as long to dry even with a blow dryer.

Short hair can be very complimentary to certain body and face types. Where as long hair can drain and insult.

Long hair can cover your body and face up so no one can see you, though I guess this could be considered a pro to some people, it's not to me.

Short hair can be beneficial in a restaurant working environment.

Short hair stays out of your face, even after growing for a while.

Short hair is easier to maintain for severely overweight and elderly women, as it's hard for both to lift their arms to create those types of hair styles that take a lot of time. This is why obese women often have short hair. I know this because my sister is 400 pounds and kindly shared this with me.

I think that there are pros and cons to long AND short hair. I personally like long hair better. It looks more feminine and flattering. Also, I don't think that it takes too long to do my hair. If you have the right cut then that will also cut down time. Lastly, not all face shapes look good with short hair, like long hair, so your decision also depends on that.

Women have become sexists! Short hair is better for anyone with a great bone structure, or a suitable face shape. GO SHORT!!

I had long hair for years and about a month and a half ago I decided to go really short. I got tired of being hot all the time. IT really is a time saver and money saver. You dont have to get it trimed every month but about every two will do ya. I have had a lot of good comments about my short hair cut. It has been short before for a brief tim, but I think it is short for good now. Not to mention, I have not hadnear as many headaches from ponytails and barrettes. I jsut got tired of it. I say go for it, GO SHORT!

I'm happy for you but in my experience short hair is time consuming, costly (regular trims, styling products) and difficult to manage and doesn't suit my face very well nor is it ideal with my thick, coarse, straight Asian/Mongolid type hair that grows like grass! The best shampoos and conditioners don't cost a fortune and can go a long way if you use them correctly. It's certainly cheaper to spend money on hair care products than trims and styling products. I hope you're happy with your short hair.
