Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens
One of the oldest and largest Victorian "glass houses" in the United States can be found at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. Domes that are silvered in glass surround 13 rooms, and each room is full of thousands of beautiful flowers and plants. Around the domes lie 2.5 acres of lush gardens, quiet ponds, and sparkling fountains. You can always expect something marvelous when you visit Phipps. Stroll through the Palm Court with their garden railroad display. The Desert and Orchid rooms are amazing, as are the lily ponds and rose gardens. Check out the unique collection of bonsai trees on display. There's even a Children's Discovery Room just for the little ones. Phipps holds annual seasonal flower shows and an amazing Butterfly Forest. Shop at the Shop of Phipps, where you'll be able to purchase horticultural books, games, toys, gardening tools, and much more. Carnegie Museum of Art
For the art lover in all of us, Carnegie Museum of Art will not disappoint. The museum is filled with collections of beautiful artwork, including contemporary art, late 19th-century American Art, American and European decorative arts from the 17th century to present day, and much, much more.
