Reassembling the Cover on the Britax Boulevard Car Seat
How to Put the Car Seat Back Together After Cleaning
First, put the two grey foam pieces back in place. The rectangular piece with two slanted slots goes on the back. Make sure the slots line up with the slots on the back of the car seat. The foam piece with a notch goes at the bottom of the seat, with the notch facing the front of the car seat.
Next, put the harness buckle back in place. Twist the plastic bottom so that it will fit through the slot on the bottom of the car seat. The release button should be facing forward.
Fit the opening in the car seat cover over the headrest.
Thread the belt straps through the slots on the bottom sides of the seat cover. These slits can be found where your child's hips go. You will see two slots on each side; the straps go through the smaller slots.
Fit the seat cover over the edges of the car seat shell.
Now start reassembling the parts that go on the belt. Take the rubber pads and put just the bottom through the straps. Make sure that the part with the Britax logo is facing outwards, towards you.
Add the buckles to the straps. The three-pronged buckle goes on your right, and the buckle with the Britax logo on it goes on the left. Then thread the belt through the rest of the rubber pad. Finally, thread the shoulder pads through the belt straps.
Place the white foam on the headrest.
Stretch the headrest cover over the headrest. Be careful not to break the white foam.
Pull the shoulder straps through the slots in the headrest cover and around to the back of the car seat. Make sure the straps are not twisted.
Turn the carseat around so that the back is facing you. Locate the metal harness yoke. Reattach the belt straps to the harness yoke.
Firmly pull on the belt straps to ensure that they are securely attached to the metal harness yoke.
Finally, insert the infant body pillow if your baby/child is using it.
