Rebecca Field: Starring as Janet 'the Planet' Meadows in the TV Show October Road

The Face Behind the Twirl

SpringOasis
October Road is a new TV show on ABC featuring a small town novelist, Nick Garret, struggling to face his past and the people he left behind ten years ago.

Rebecca Field plays the role of Janet 'the Planet' Meadows--a sweet, intelligent, and very down-to-earth bartender who falls in love with Eddie Latekka, a young man with a reputation of pursuing the town's most beautiful women.

At first, Rebecca and Eddie find themselves in a weird place, not ready to face the reality of their feelings for each other. Eddie is afraid of diminishing his long-established image by admitting his feelings for Janet; she doesn't exactly fit the stereotype of his past relationships when it comes to physical appearances.

In comparison, Janet, fully aware of Eddie's history with women, doubts their emotional connection and potential future as a couple.

Meanwhile, the audience is blown away by their chemistry together; the sparks ignite as Eddie finally admits that he is ready to give Janet a chance--and this time he is not going to stand her up!

While the season finale of the TV show October Road was filled with exciting moments--such as Physical Phil stepping outside to re-connect with the Pizza Girl for the first time since 9/11 and the shocking revelation of Ikey and Allison's secret affair--Janet stole the show as she danced and twirled in the restaurant after Eddie's surprise disclosure about his feelings for her. Janet's twirl was a twirl of passion, happiness, and victory, the kind of twirl that makes the life worth living.

So, who is the face of Janet 'the Planet' Meadows in October Road?

Very little is known about the actress, Rebecca Field. She is 21 years old and living in Los Angeles, California; however, her hometown is Lenox, MA. According to her Myspace profile, she is looking forward to playing the "best friend/side kick" roles in both films and TV shows.

Among her friends, she is known as "Becky," a light brown-haired and blue-eyed cutie with a personality much resembling that of Janet on the October Road--a loyal, loving, and caring best friend.

When asked about her favorite movies, she informs the public that "she wants to be in them"; Rebecca is clearly ready to have an impact and show her acting abilities to the world.

Her role models include her devoted parents and friends, as well as the actress Drew Barrymore. The exact reason for admiring Ms. Barrymore is unknown, but it may have something to do with Rebecca's admiration of people who are not afraid to pursue their dreams and take the risks that come with such pursuits.

Rebecca Field is a Gemini, and much like her zodiac sign, she appears charming, witted, and multi-faceted, all important attributes of a successful actress.

She has recently appeared in the "Lights Out" episode of ER, and has had appearances in Mr. Nice Guy, Mind of Mencia, and Munk.

The audience will be able to see Rebecca Field back on their screens in the fall, when the new season of October Road begins; she has recently been given a status of a regular cast member in this stirring new drama.

Here is to hoping that Janet Meadows will keep October Road twirling in the right direction!

I saw Ms Fields on a Monk episode, and I think she is really a sweet person, like the characters she portrays on television. Ms Fields conveys an image of a woman with a sense of humor, as well as being friendly and compassionate. I hope she will be featured in more roles in TV and in films!
