"What is that thing?" Rebecca asked. The figure stood well over ten feet tall, had broad shoulders, two large arms with mechanical pincers on the ends and tree trunk sized legs. The girl read all she could about Neko, but didn't remember reading anything about a mechanical giant.
"It's named Eclipse." Neko said. "I've been fighting this thing for almost two years." The cat-girl explained.
"Wow." Rebecca muttered. "She was starting to realize there was more to Neko then she thought.
"Enough about me." Eclipse said, raising both of it's arms at the girls. "Let's talk about you!" Suddenly both pincers were launched at the girls. Neko turned to Rebecca and quickly gathered the girl up in her arms. Leaping high in the air the girls avoiding the pincers by mere inches and landed a few yards away.
The pincers slammed into the ground sending debris and smoke high into the air. With a grinding sound the pincers were pulled out of the ground with heavy chains and inserted back into the ends of the machine's arms.
Neko lowered Rebecca to the ground. "Get a wiggle on and get out of here!" Neko ordered as she turned to Eclipse and rushed after the massive robot. Rebecca couldn't move. She was too worried about Neko fighting the massive machine, but at the same time she was also curious. She wanted to know how the cat-girl planned on taking it down.
Eclipse fired it's pincers once again at Neko. Neko quickly jumped to the left missing the pincer by mere inches again. When the cat-girl landed she quickly kicked off the ground missing the other pincer as well.
Neko landed gracefully on the ground. Smirking she crossed her arms in front of her chest. "You're either not trying or you've hit the giggle water early this morning." Neko said, with a giggle.
"STOP LAUGHING AT ME!" Eclipse roared, as it began running after Neko.
Neko laughed again. "Sorry to give you the bums rush Eclipse, but this time I'm taking you down for good!" Neko leapt high into the air and slammed the heel of her foot into the machine's chest. With a loud boom the machine stumbled backwards. Neko didn't waste anytime. Running behind the machine the girl leapt once again high into the air and slammed the heel of her right foot into the machine's back. This time the machine stumbled forwards.
Rebecca gasped. The kicks to the machine left large dents in the bronze machines back and chest.
"D-Damn!" Eclipse cried. As it crashed into the ground. Smoke rose from the machine's dented body.
"Is it..." Rebecca wondered.
"I think so." Neko said. "Hey... Eclipse?" Neko said, tapping the machine with the tip of her toes. "Are you dead?" The girl asked.
Eclipse didn't answer.
"Dead." Rebecca said. The girl starred at the machine for the longest time, her eyes then shifted to Neko. The girl finally realized what had just happened. "Oh my God..." Rebecca muttered.
"What's wrong? Are you hurt?" Neko asked.
"No." Rebecca said, shaking her head slowly. "I... I met my hero and was also saved by her! I can die happy now."
Neko blushed. "Oh applesauce. I didn't do anything all that nifty. Eclipse is just hard boiled. He's not exactly the smartest thing in the world." The cat-girl said, matter-of-factly.
"Still..." Rebecca said, walking up to her computer and examining the screen. "You are the... bees knees." She said.
Neko ran up to Rebecca and wrapped her arms lovingly around the girl. "So are you!" She announced.
A loud boom startled both girls. Turning they saw the back of Eclipse opening. "What the..." Rebecca began. In the smoke she could see a figure rising out of the machine's back. "Someone was piloting that thing?"
"I had no idea." Neko said, slowly shaking her head.
The figure hoped out of the machine and headed towards the two girls. "I'M BACK!" The figure cried. Both Rebecca and Neko gasped. The figure looked exactly like Rebecca.
***
"HEY! What do you think your doing!?" The girl who looked exactly like Rebecca demanded as Neko bound her hands tightly behind her back using heavy metallic coils. "Let me go you damn cat!" The girl barked. The girl wore black overalls, a white t-shirt and heavy black boots strapped tightly to her feet.
"You better stop making fun of her!" Rebecca ordered. "I don't care what you look like! You're not going to make fun of Neko!"
The girl who looked like Rebecca smirked. "I'll do whatever I want."
"Yeah right." Rebecca said. "Who are you anyways? And why do you look like me?"
"I don't know nothing from nothing." The girl said, looking at Neko from the corners of her eyes. "You're not the only one who can talk in that slang."
Neko smirked. "My mom taught me two things before she died." The cat-girl said. "Don't take wooden nickels and if you want to learn something. Ask politely." The cat-girl grabbed the girl's left foot and tugged her boot off, exposing her bare foot. "Now answer our questions please. Or else."
"Or else what?" The girl asked, nervously. Though she already knew the answer.
"Who are you?" Rebecca demanded.
"I'm you." The girl answered.
"Tickle her!" Rebecca ordered.
Neko dug her nail's into the girl's ticklish sole. Instantly the Rebecca look alike burst into ticklish laughter. The girl pulled and tugged on her foot and even kicked Neko in the back with her free foot, but the tickling didn't stop. Neko didn't even seem to feel the kicks.
Neko raked her nails up and down the tender foot. She slowly raked them down the sole, over the heel, over the arches and then between each of her toes. The girl's laughter and struggled became more desperate. Her chest heaved, her body shook and her cheeks grew bright red.
Rebecca watched the scene for a moment. She almost felt sorry for the girl. Her feet were also extremely ticklish as well. So ticklish that she could hardly stand washing them in the shower.
Finally after several minutes passed Rebecca stopped Neko. "Now... Who are you."
"Three months from now." The look alike began. "Neko betrays me. An explosion in this shop sends us reeling through time. Back to the year 1921. I'm out of place, but I have the data I collected on that time stored in my computers. Before the battery dies I learn as much as I can. I assume the name Nancy and build Eclipse to get my revenge on Neko. So to answer your question. I'm you." Nancy said. "Just smarter about this thing." The girl said, looking hard at Neko.
"TICKLE HER!" Neko shouted, as she began tickling the foot once again.
"NO!" Nancy cried. As the laughter began spilling out from her once more. The girl kicked her leg hard and wiggled her toes as Neko's fingers raked up and down the sole. The girl yelped loudly.
Rebecca wanted to stop Neko, but decided against it. She could tell the cat-girl was rather upset by what the look alike said.
"Neko betrays me? Why? Can she really be me from the future...? I mean past?" Rebecca wondered to herself.
The girl didn't notice that the laughing had stopped until Neko was standing in front of her. "Rebecca." Neko said, putting her hands firmly on Rebecca's shoulders. "I would never betray you. I don't have a reason to."
Rebecca opened her mouth to say something, but before she could Nancy laughed. "You don't have a reason now, but you will." The girl said. "You will. And if you don't wise up Rebecca your going to be fooled again."
