Rebounding and the Mini-Trampoline - Be a Kid Again and Get Healthy by Playing

The Mini-Trampoline/Rebounder is Not Just a Toy

One of the most important tools in your home or yard could be the mini-trampoline/rebounder!

Get rid of depression, lose some weight, gain some muscle, return to good health, lift your spirits and start bouncing, or in other words, rebounding. Get happy! After a daily play-time of rebounding on this toy, your friends and family might notice a change in you and for the better!

I thought mini-trampolines/rebounders were for kids and anyway, I don't have time!I

You probably don't have the time or the money to be unhealthy! Even a millionaire is not rich enough to be unhealthy! Set aside a time for you. A time for your play with a goal toward a healthier you in a short time. Walking may not be the exercise for some. Maybe they live in country areas and are afraid to meet a bear in their travels. Maybe some are overweight and fear the way they look in sports clothes while exercising in a gym. The rebounder/mini-trampoline might solve all these problems and can even be inside your home. You can bounce for five minutes at a time many times a day. Take a break from writing and publishing and do some bouncing. Bounce wearing your old sweats or even your pajamas. Get those lymph glands flowing! Treat your body good. It's the only one you have!

An unhealthy body is expensive and requires a constant doctor's care - Get a mini-trampoline/rebounder!

Poor health and disease is expensive and the testing is sometimes painful and probably not even something you want on your schedule. Who wants to spend a day with the cardiologist, or getting blood-sugars tested. So do something about it. Do something for you! Move the mini-trampoline in front of the tv. If you don't have a mini-trampoline, maybe you could bounce on the bed if it's sturdy - but bounce. Your posture will improve, breathing will be easier, muscles will appear almost out of nowhere and the extra weight will disappear and you won't even notice it leaving because you'll be playing! You'll be replacing fat with muscle so your clothes will fit better! You'll look better and you'll feel better!

What's so good about rebounding on a mini-trampoline?

It strengthens the immune system that helps the blood to circulate, provides aerobic exercise for the heart, oxygenates the cells, allows the body to sweat, and even hair to grow and tones the muscles. Muscle weighs more than fat and burns more calories. So when those muscles start appearing, your metabolism will rise and you'll eventually be burning a lot more calories even while resting!

Gentle to joints?

Rebounding clears the lymph glands. Poor lymphatic drainage of the arms and legs can lead to tissue damage with painful swelling. Rebounding is healing and gentle on the joints.

How about adding a healthy snack now that you're a new you!

Now that you've solved the exercise problem, how about a healthy snack to eat while watching TV. Instead of those potato chips, try something full of energy. Simmer an assortment of dry beans until done, rinse and drain well, and snack on these as finger foods (from the "You Are What You Eat" tv program).

Have some fun and get in touch with those happy carefree childhood days and do some bouncing. You're never too old or even too young to feel better!

I am not in any of the health care professions. This article is written from personal experience and some research. Always check with your doctor and research well before making lifestyle/health changes. This article is written about mini-trampoline/rebounders - which need adult supervision with children's use. Further research into hospital emergency room injuries concerning small or larger trampolines/rebounders is needed by any individual before considering the purchase of these items for children or even adults. As with any exercise equipment knowledge is the key!
