jobythebay

Lots of dogs love pigs' ears dog treats. My dogs always ate them but I don't let my little Pomeranian have them.

Be aware that Pig Ears for Pet Treats have been recalled because of possible salmonella contamination. Key Manufacturing Company has issued this news for the following states, whose stores received their Pigs Ears through their trucks.

Pennsylvania

Virginia

Missouri

Iowa

Ohio

Illinois

Florida

Kentucky

Michigan

Arkansas

Indiana

Louisiana

Texas

Minnesota

Not only can your pet get sick but you can just by touching them!

One dog got sick in Missouri so the company and the FDA are looking into what exactly caused the problem in the Pigs Ears.

The product was distributed in 100-count cases packed in cardboard boxes and shipped between September. 27, 2010, and January 25, 2011.

If your dog has eaten these or if you have touched them, you or/and your dog might be vomiting, have diarrhea, a fever or stomach cramps.

People whose pet has symptoms after eating the product should contact their veterinarians. You should call your doctor.
Return Pig Ears for Pet Treats to the store where you bought them for a refund. You can call 217-465-4001with any concerns.
