Memories of hearth and home
Come to me as I write this poem
Anxiously, I await the day
That family comes from far away.
The turkey, the dressing, the pies and, the yams
The men in the front room watching the Rams
The women in the kitchen filling the air
With the warm scent of Thanksgiving's traditional fare
Our family again gathers for Holiday cheer.
To bad it comes only once a year.
