Sunbeam Irons and Wild Caught Yellow Fin Tuna

jobythebay
Sunbeam Products Inc. has recalled 5,700 clothes irons. Three reports of fires from these irons have been called into the company. These are Sunbeam Convertible Irons with a model number of GCSBRS - 103.

These irons are hand held and convert from an iron into a steamer.

You would have bought the iron somewhere in the neighborhood of June 2010 through November 2010. They were $60.00 at Bed, Bath & Beyond.

These were made of China and it seems because of a wiring problem they can overheat according the United States Safety Commission.

Consumers were advised to stop using the irons and contact Sunbeam for a free replacement.

You can call 800-656-9708 for information

Rouses Markets has voluntarily recalled wild-caught yellow fin tuna steaks labeled as products of the USA with a UPC Code beginning with 208732. They were only sold at Rouses Markets and will have a sell by date between December 1, 2010 and January 27, 2011. These markets are only in Louisiana and Mississippi.

These are previously frozen so you would already have eaten them because frozen fish that has thawed out (or any kind of chicken or meat) should not be re-frozen; however, you may have so check what is in your freezer. It seems that they have elevated levels of histamine. This recall does not impact any other fish or seafood sold by Rouses Markets.

High levels of histamine can produce an allergic reaction, called histamine fish poisoning that may result in symptoms that generally appear within minutes to an hour after eating the affected fish. There have been two reported incidents by consumers. The most common symptoms of histamine are tingling or burning sensation in the mouth, facial swelling, rash, hives and itchy skin, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea. The symptoms usually go away within several hours without medical intervention. Please seek medical attention if symptoms are severe or don't go away!!

If you have this product call 1-800-688-5998, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Central Time.
