Recalls on the Rise - Errors Sometimes Can't Be Explained

Years back there was very few items recalled, now America have a recall on something it seems everyday. Are there not enough supervising going on, or could some of the leading people in the industry be settling for lesser quality for cheaper prices? The latest recall Topps Meat Company based out of New Jersey their frozen beef patties has been recalled for linked of e-coli outbreak causing 6 people to end up sick because of this matter. Topps Meat Company had to recall 331, 582 pounds of frozen beef products some of the product names are Butchers Best, Kohler's Food burgers, Sand Castle Fine Meats, if you have beef in your freezer on the USDA inspection marked EST 9748 then you should get rid of it right away.

There have been lots of recalls this year with tainted meats. Interstate Meats of Oregon had to recall 41,000 pounds of ground beef, United Food Group also recalled 5 million pounds of meat now that's a whole lot of meat to be tainted, even Tyson Fresh Meats had a recall on their meat. Meats hasn't been the only thing this year to be recalled Mattel Chinese made toys had a huge recall list with over 9 million toys recalled because of hazardous lead paint dangers and small magnets that could be swallowed easily by kids.

The list was pages long ranging from the Polly pocket doll sets, Dora the Explorer products, Batman mobile, Batman action figures, also the mini power wheel bike and the list goes on. About two weeks later Mattel had to recall even more toys due to some toys still was coated with lead paint this is a total disaster for today's kids and their parents.

There has also been recalls that affected our dog and cat foods. The cause of this matter was due to a key ingredient that is used to make the pet food products. It was confirmed to be contaminated and cause some cats and dogs to become very sick and some of them even died. There was a very large list of cat food products recalled like Feline Classic, Best Choice, Paws, Pet Pride and this list goes on and on. As for the dog food there was a very outstanding list of dog foods including Alpo, Ol' Roy, Iams products and this list continues on as well. There have been lots of other recalls this year ranging from cars, trucks, medical devices, different cosmetics, contact lens solutions, and peanut butter and this is just a handful of a list that really is pages long. The FDA and the USDA need to find the cause of all the recalls, because there is something going wrong considering that the recall list seems to get higher and higher with each passing year. Us as citizens need better quality foods, products, and they also need to protect our pet products, and the safety of our vehicles so it is very necessary that someone focus more.
