Recap of Gosselin Happenings for the Week of October 5, 2009

Jane Meyer
This has been a busy week so far for Jon and Kate Gosselin happenings. On Tuesday, Kate was spotted unloading her car after returning to Pennsylvania from a Today show taping in New York. During the show, she accused Jon of stealing $230,000 from the joint bank account which is used to pay the household bills. She claimed that only $1000 remains in the account after Jon looted it.

Jon was seen at LAX airport where he was reportedly looking for a place to live and taking care of "business dealings". Jon claims he only took $22,000 from the account and tried in many ways to prove it to the press. Kate had to file legal papers to force Jon to return the money to the joint bank account.

Jon is also trying desperately to shut down the TLC show Jon & Kate + 8, after his role in the show was downgraded. Essentially, he is trying to cause difficulty for the show to proceed without him as an equal star. He wants to shut down the show because he all of a sudden thinks it's the best thing for his kids.

Nancy Grace also gave a tongue lashing to him. Jon and his lawyer appeared on her Headline News show to defend himself and found himself unable to intelligently respond to her allegations of him being a bad father (click here for the clip)

It all boils down to money. When he was an equal star, he claimed that the kids liked the show and that filming was not harmful to their well-being. Now that he is being kicked off, he is trying to stop the production in its tracks.

Jon's behavior is so reckless that Jillita Horton of Associated Content predicted that Jon Gosselin will be dead by the end of the year (click here to read the article). She cited a combination of drinking, motorcycle riding, his snowboarding activities and partying with wild celebrities as the factors in his death.

Stay tuned for more exciting outrageousness from Jon and Kate.
