Recap '˜Survivor Nicaragua' Episode 13

As 'Survivor Nicaragua' episode 13 began there were only 7 contestants remaining.

Returning to camp from tribal council and all of the talk was about NaOnka and Kelly quitting.

The remaining alliances were Jane, Holly, and Chase & Benry, Fabio, and Dan.

Then there was Sash.

Sash, for the first time since the game began, found himself on the outside looking in. His one advantage is that he still held the immunity idol he took from Marty. He has betrayed so many others during this game it is little wonder that no one trusts anything he says.

Sash told the men that he was going to play the immunity idol at the next tribal council. He was trying to win an alliance - with anyone at this point.

Chase is so gullible that he let Sash bend his ear regarding his chances of winning if it came down to him and Jane.

'Survivor: Nicaragua' - Reward Challenge Recap, episode 13
The first challenge was a chance to revisit some of the previous challenges. The first part of the challenge was to crawl through a mud pit, clamber through hay, and bounce a ball off a shield into a barrel.

Chase, Jane, Benry, and Holly made it through to the next round.

In the next round a key had to be retrieved from a suspended spiral. The key had to be used to unlock a chest, remove four sandbags and land them all on a barrel.

Chase and Benry completed that round to move to the final round of the competition.

Chase and Benry had to dig up three rope rings and land them on the hooks.

Chase won the reward - a nice meal at a resort and a nights rest at the resort. Chase could choose two competitors to go with him. He chose Holly, who gave up her reward last time, and Jane.

Back at camp - 'Survivor: Nicaragua' Recap, episode 13
Sash was resentful that Chase had promised to take him with him on an individual reward but failed to do it. Sash continued to function under the grand delusion that his immunity idol would somehow ensure his way to the final three.

Sash used the time to talk to Benry, Fabio, and Dan and try to build an alliance with them. He gave them same old line about being trustworthy, when everyone knows he is not trustworthy.

Chase realized the error of his decision by not brining Sash on his reward. Holly and Chase knew that Sash was a wild card they needed to get under control when they got back to camp.

When Jane got back to camp she found out that the men had killed and eaten the chicken. She shed tears for her chicken, built a memorial, and then got over it.

'Survivor: Nicaragua'- Immunity Challenge 2 Recap, episode 13
The immunity challenge was to unravel rope from a hitching post and reach a bag of gold coins. The first three to reach their bag of gold coins would move on to the second round of the challenge.

Benry, Fabio, and Sash, the three most likely to be voted off won the challenge and moved to the next stage of the immunity challenge.

The second part of the challenge was to put a stack of gold coins together. Benry and Fabio fell behind Sash in the challenge, and Sash won immunity.

This put Sash in a phenomenal position. He still has a hidden immunity idol, and he would not have to play it at tribal council because he won personal immunity. Sash was once again at the top of his game.

Benry was voted off, following an odd vote in which alliances were obviously broken.
