Recap '˜Survivor Nicaragua' Episode 14 - Tearful Times

As "Survivor Nicaragua" episode 14 began only 6 contestants remained.

The remaining players were Jane, Holly, Chase, Sash, Fabio, and Dan.

Returning to camp from tribal council Sash started plotting. He sidled up to Fabio, assuring him that he had his back. Sash then turned around and said that Fabio would be the next to go.

Fabio realized his head is on the chopping block, so he has some maneuvering to do in order to stay in the game.

Sash and Chase both still held a hidden immunity idol. Sash has alienated so many of the players that he may find he has to play the immunity idol sooner rather than later. If the tribe chooses to ignore his lack of integrity and not flush his idol they may as well send him an engraved invitation to the final three.

The tribe received mail via a cell phone with a cryptic message. On the phone were video messages from their family, which brought everyone to tears.

"Survivor: Nicaragua" - Reward Challenge Recap, episode 14
The first challenge was for a sail along the coast of Nicaragua with sandwiches, chips, cookies, and a special surprise.

Before the challenge started each player was met by a member of their family, which brought another round of tears from everyone. The winner of the challenge got to go sailing with their family member.

The family members participated in the challenge. Contestants had to dash out and collect a bag of letter tiles, give them to their family member, and collect a second bag of tiles. The family member had to solve a puzzle for the win.

Chase's mom solved the puzzle first and won the cruise. Chase was able to choose two player to go with them. Chase chose Sash and Holly. Sash had not been on a reward in a very long time, but it was inexplicable as to why he chose Holly to go on reward for the second time.

Fabio got upset and cried because he expected Chase to choose him for the reward, and he didn't want to be separated from his mom so soon.

The entire camp turned on Chase.

Fabio helped turn them because he told them Chase had promised to take him on the reward today.

Jane felt deflated because she realized she was the fourth person in a three-way alliance.

Everyone turned on Chase, but I'm not sure they realize he is holding the immunity idol NaOnka left behind.

Chase, Sash, and Holly plotted their alliance while they were on their cruise. According to their plan they will be the final three. Sash has said that to so many people it is hard to figure out what his plan is - other than keeping himself on "Survivor Nicaragua."

When Chase, Sash, and Holly got back to camp after dark. Fabio immediately jumped on Chase, but demonstrating great character Fabio decided not to linger on the mistreatment by Chase and to move on.

The immunity challenge was a blindfolded obstacle course. At the end of the course was a shield which had to be memorized by touch. They then had to return to the start and try to re-create the shield blindfolded.

Fabio won the immunity challenge.

With Fabio in possession of an immunity idol Sash's plan to send him home was thwarted.

Chase started lobbying for Dan to be voted off.

Fabio wanted to get rid of Jane, but Chase had misgivings about it. Sash didn't have a problem sending Jane home, but Holly didn't know what to do.

Jane confronted her alliance and came right out in front of Jane and told her they were planning on voting her out. This put Jane in tears, and she called hem all what they are - liars and cheats. Then, in her wrath she poured water on their fire. That move ensured she would be voted off at tribal council. She started the fire and felt she was the one who should put the fire out.

This was the last night to play an idol, so Sash and Chase had to play their idol or lose it.

While at council Jeff prodded Jane into forcing Dan and Fabio into alliance with her to vote Holly off.

In the end, Jane was voted off "Survivor Nicaragua," and she was ticked. She will not be a happy member of the jury when it comes time to award one million dollars.
