The latest episode of "True Blood" begins with Sookie screaming at the sight of Bill in her hospital room. Alcide intervenes and tells Bill to leave while Tara turns her anger on Bill. Jason is the only one who points out that Sookie is alive. Sookie stops screaming and is speechless for a few seconds then she announces that she needs to speak to Bill alone, something which Tara is not happy about. When Sookie and Bill are alone, Bill already knows what Sookie wants: Her freedom. He tells her he never meant to hurt her but he couldn't stop and he doesn't know how to take back what he's done. Sookie tells him she doesn't know how to start forgiving him. Bill wants Sookie to have the life she deserves - with children, growing old with someone, but knows he cannot give it to her. He begins to cry tears of blood and tells her he loves her and will love her forever. He takes the IV out of his arm and says "Be safe," then leaves as Sookie cries in her hospital bed and the bloody IV drips on the floor.

At the King's mansion, Sophie Anne is moving in and Talbot is as happy as Sophie Anne is. Eric eavesdrops and overhears Russell admit to Talbot that he killed the Magister. Talbot tells him he is acting like a century-old child. Russell is planning to buy his way out of trouble from that killing. Eric interrupts and tells the King that Debbie is in his study. Debbie is tearful and full of rage over the death of her boyfriend - at the hands of Sookie. Russell sees Sookie as something that could be helpful in the coming trouble over the murder of the Magister. Eric begins to play to Russell's ego in an effort to get close to him as a means of revenge for the death of his family a thousand years earlier.

Terry and Arlene are relaxing on their bed. Terry is singing to Arlene's baby. As Terry continues to sing, Arlene sees Rene instead of Terry. Rene taunts her about her baby - his baby - and how the child will finish the things he started. He wraps a hand around her throat and she screams. She awakens to find Terry trying to soothe her - it was a dream.

At Bill's house, Jessica hugs Bill and is happy to see him. She wants to tell him a number of things but he tells her she needs to get her things and go - he releases her from their blood tie. She protests and tells him that she needs him to teach her. He yells that he cannot protect her and that he is no good to her. She sits on the couch and yells that she is not leaving and cries as she says she doesn't want to be alone anymore. Bill is moved but his torment is still evident on his face. Jessica hugs him.

Sookie is back home and sitting on her own couch with Alcide. He doesn't want to leave her alone and she offers her guest room. They share "a moment" when Andy Bellefleur and Jason burst in - Jason wants Sookie to press charges against Bill. Sookie hears Jason's thoughts and Andy's and knows that Jason has done something he doesn't want her to know about.

Lafayette rubs Tara's feet and asks her if she's going to tell him what happened to her. She is obviously tormented but tells him not tonight. She tells him she realized how much she wants to live.

Sam is drinking coffee in one of his rental houses when he catches a scent. He looks outside and sees a dog looking at him. He opens the door and the dog becomes Melinda. "Get in here before someone sees you," he tells her and ushers her inside. A little while later Melinda, now dressed, is carrying her suitcase while Sam and Tommy wait for her to leave. Sam tells her to leave and not come back. They talk about Joe Lee and why she stays with him and she says she loves him and she loves Tommy and Sam. Sam asks if she needs help with her suitcase and she tells him she needs money. He gives her some and she says "That aint gonna get us far," but he makes it clear she needs to leave. After she is gone, Sam notices that Tommy is crying.

Tara is showering and Franklin is suddenly with her. They begin kissing passionately, then she awakes - it was a dream.

Lafayette starts to unlock his front door when something is thrown at him. His mother has somehow gotten out of the mental hospital and is rambling about protecting him from vampires and witches.

Sookie lies on a blanket in the sun as tears roll down her cheeks. A shadow falls over her - it is Tara. Tara lies down next to her and holds her hand. They talk about Bill and Sookie says she trusted him but she doesn't want to trust anyone like that again. Sookie and Tara exchange harsh and angry words about Bill. Sookie wants Tara to talk about what happened to her when she was with Franklin but Tara stands and stomps off. She encounters Alcide a few feet away and tells him to flirt some sense into Sookie.

Jason is gathering up ammunition when there is a pounding at his door. It is Crystal and she is soaked. She has a black eye and she wants Jason's truck. Jason says he won't help her until she tells him what is going on.

At Merlotte's, a bottle of Tru Blood reminds Tara of Franklin and she drops it, shattering it on the floor. In a nearby booth, Arlene is interviewing a new waitress - Holly. Somehow the waitress knows that Arlene is pregnant. Sam comes in and Arlene introduces him to Holly. He walks to the backroom where Tara is wiping Tru Blood from her shoes. Sam startles her and sees she is emotionally overwrought.

Jason has given Crystal a drink and a blanket. She tells him that the black eye happened because she told her fiance she didn't want to marry him anymore - because of Jason. They talk and end up kissing on the couch.

At Lafayette's place, there is a knock - it is Jesus looking for Ruby Jean. He tells Lafayette that a new nurse left Ruby Jean sitting in the garden. As Jesus and Lafayette talk, Ruby Jean comes back into the room wielding a butcher knife. She doesn't plan to go back to the hospital. Jesus talks to her and convinces her to give the knife to him so they can watch TV.

At the King's mansion, Sophie Anne's consort, Hadley walks into the hallway. Eric grabs her and tells her she needs to deliver a message to her cousin - Sookie. He has blood coming from one ear and his nose.

At Sookie's house, Alcide finds out that Debbie and some of her cronies burned down his sister's hair salon. He is apologetic that he needs to leave, but he asks Sookie to come with him, for her own protection. Sookie insists that if she were in real danger Bill would come to her aid. Sookie tells Alcide that if she had been smart she would have fallen in love with someone like him and he tells her "Back at you." They hug and it is obvious they have become emotionally attached.

At Merlotte's, Sam and Tommy talk about Tara and Tommy's work as a busboy. Hoyt comes into the bar and asks about Jessica. Tommy taunts him and tells him Jessica is not his concern. Hoyt becomes angry and they exchange words. Sam intervenes and takes Tommy to the back room where he admonishes his brother about the need to set goals for himself. Tommy isn't interested in college and stomps out of the room.

Bill and Jessica are practicing fighting skills in Bill's living room and Jessica is getting faster and better. Jessica asks about Sookie and Bill tells her that it is over - for Sookie's protection. Jessica admits that she loves Hoyt but he is too good for her.

Sookie sits at her kitchen table looking at a photo of her and Bill. She hears something outside and quickly grabs her shotgun then chambers a round before calling out "Who's there?" The door opens and it is her cousin - Hadley. They hug and Hadley asks if Gran is around - she doesn't know Gran is dead. A few minutes later, a tearful Hadley tells Sookie that she has a message for her - from Eric Northman. The message from Eric is that Russell is coming for Sookie and she shouldn't trust Bill. Sookie says that if Russell wants her he will find her no matter where she goes. As Hadley leaves, Sookie hears her regret that she told the vampires a secret about Sookie.

Russell and Talbot are arguing in Russell's study. Talbot is angry that Russell is leaving Talbot there alone. In a hissy fit, Talbot begins breaking Russell's collection of artifacts. When he grabs the Viking crown, Eric is suddenly there, stopping him from throwing it. Eric offers a solution: He will keep Talbot company.

Jason and Crystal are naked, wrapped in a blanket on Jason's couch. Crystal is worried that her family will find Jason and kill him. After hearing Crystal's stomach growl, Jason suggests she take a shower while he goes to grab a bite to eat. After she goes to the bathroom, he grabs his shotgun and walks out.

Tommy is being eyed by the ladies at Merlotte's when Sam catches a scent. It is Crystal's family from Hotshot. They are looking for Crystal and they know she's been there because the truck she took is sitting in the parking lot at the bar. Calvin calls Sam "shifter" and makes a threat then leaves. Tommy asks Sam if he smelled them.

Ruby Jean has finally managed to fall asleep. Jesus tells Lafayette truly is powerful and that although Ruby Jean might be crazy, she is right when she says her son has power. Lafayette reminisces about being five and Ruby Jean telling him he could breathe underwater. He almost drowned, so he doesn't believe anything Ruby Jean says. Jesus asks about the drug dealing and encourages Lafayette to get away from that life. Lafayette tells him that he wants to get away from that life but can't. Jesus kisses him.

At the King's mansion, Eric and Talbot are playing chess. When Eric wins, Talbot sweeps the players from the table. He announces that he is bored and Eric should take off his clothes. Eric asks for privacy and Talbot sends the guards away. Eric tells him it's been a long time since he's "done this" and Talbot asks "a man?" Eric says, "No, a vampire," and they begin to kiss.

In Hotshot, Jason walks into a garage with a shotgun. He sees a blood trail and hears something. He follows the blood trail and comes upon a naked person eating a deer. Jason gets out of there quickly and hears a truck - it is Calvin. Jason tells Calvin to stay away from Crystal.

Sookie is expecting trouble as she watches from a bedroom window 0 shotgun in hand. She hears wolves howl. wolves come running out of the woods with Debbie in human form behind them. Debbie kicks in the door. The wolves enter and the first one encounters Bill, while the other one meets Jessica. Debbie sniffs and goes upstairs. Sookie chambers a round as Debbie ascends the stairs. Debbie pauses outside the door then kicks it in. Sookie warns her not to come near or she will shoot. Debbie taunts Sookie and grabs the gun. They begin to fight.

Downstairs, Jessica chases a wolf outside as Bill starts up the stairs to help Sookie. He hears Jessica scream and he pauses to check on her. Russell is outside and has Jessica. Bill taunts Russell and Russell bites and drinks from Jessica before setting her free to be chased down by a wolf. Russell grabs Bill and puts his silver boot spur against his face. Sookie and Debbie are dueling to the death upstairs. Debbie gets Sookie down and Sookie manages to grab a pair of scissors to slice Debbie's face. It gives her the time she needs to grab the shotgun while Bill and Russell continue to grapple outside.

At the King's mansion, things are getting heated between Eric and Talbot but Eric's plans are different than Talbot's. While Talbot's back is to him, Eric grabs a sharp object then says "Russell took my family, now I take his" before staking Talbot.

Russell feels the death of Talbot and rushes away - leaving a beaten and bloodies Bill in the dirt. Upstairs, Sookie tells Debbie to get out and she shoots the wall next to her, telling her next time she won't miss. Debbie jumps out of the window, transforms into a white wolf and runs away. Bill runs upstairs and sees that Sookie is safe. They hug and as Bill says "I'm so sorry" over and over Sookie says "I love you."

Hoyt is crying as he drives down the road. Nearby, Jessica is feeding on the werewolf, who is begging her not to kill him but she continues to feed.

The upstairs room at Sookie's house is scattered and disheveled from the fight she had with Debbie, but Sookie and Bill are on the floor, making up with sex.

I've only seen the first episode of True Blood and never read anything that's happening. I don't know why I randomly read this recap but I did.
