Recap of VH1's Sober House with Dr. Drew Season 2 Episode 3 Day 8

Episode Four of VH1's Sober House with Dr. Drew is nearly half way through the series and is becoming unwatchable. I thought Celebrity Rehab was bad, but this is getting worse. The series is unfocused and spends way too much time on the fights and ranting of the people in the house and has no real focus on recovery. The team of Will Smith and Jennifer Gimenez do nothing to prevent or stop the bickering and fighting of the residents and often allow it to happen. Both Smith and Gimenez are very bad at working together and often are not coordinating their responsibilities such as drug testing the residents on time. Mike is Dope Sick

Bassist Mike Starr is having a hard time and I feel for him. He's dope sick which means his nerves and brain just turned back on. They both want dope...a lot of dope. During Celebrity Rehab he was basically numb and just coming off of everything now he's full blow ill. You can even look at Mike and tell he's bad off. He looks like a boiled egg and probably smells bad.

He is bored in California because he has no idea where to go or what to do with his free time. This leads him to call his sister so they can, "Go eat Thai food." This is of course slang for drugs. His sister wants no part of it and Starr flips out. He then tries to find other drugs with no success. He goes back to the sober house and goes to bed.

Essays

Since a bunch of people broke the rules and missed curfew they had to write essays. They sucked for the most part and Rodman just wrote why a bunch of times. Mike makes an essay out of swear words because all he can feel is pain. Tom Siezmore wrote a great essay about how he's going to knuckle down and being sober is super important. Now read "No Phones" below.

No Phones

Everyone is still without their phones and most of they are being cool about it. Tom Sizemore is flipping out that he needs to call his girlfriend. Then he runs off through the city to go see her. He just wrote an essay on how nothing is more important than being sober then he pulls this shit. Siezmore is starting to be a problem.

Heidi test positive for opiates, amphetamines, and Benzodiazepine

Heidi Fleiss had to return home and take care of one of her many legal problems. While home she must have had a great time because she came back loaded. Her drug test was a triple threat of opiates, amphetamines, and benzodiazepines. Smith and Gimenez separated her from the group not because she was high, but to simply control the amount of crazy going on. Everyone is losing their shit save for Kendra Jade Rossi and Jennie Ketcham who are simply trying to have a movie night. The staff contacts Dr. Drew who says he's on his way.

Tom vs. Heidi Round 1,456

Siezmore, for whatever reason, doesn't think Mike Starr is dope sick. "Nobody is dope sick for 41 days." Simply not true, but Siezmore believes it. He then confronts Mike about it and Mike just wants to be left alone. Mike does nothing and I mean nothing to provoke Tom who lashes out at him with a speech that starts out sounding like advice. Tom starts with how drugs ruined his life and he doesn't want it to happen to Mike and this turns into how Tom will fuck Mike up and how he should fight him right now. I mean a complete flip with red face screaming. Mike cannot lift his arms and just remains in an open prone position. He then provokes Mike further by saying that if someone had talked to him that way he would have kicked their ass. Mike jumps up and the trade posture until it's finally broke up. Heidi comes down from being separated (who was in charge of keeping her in the room?) and provokes Tom since she was apparently watching the entire time. Tom bolts and is followed by Gimenez. Tom is screaming she has to go and he won't stay another minute. Then he starts blubbering in her arms about how mean Heidi is and he just can't take it and he really wants to be better and he's sorry. Then he looks up and it hits me the motherfucker is acting. Duh, Tom is an actor and he's totally doing it now. He gets up and there are no tears in his eyes. He's fine, but Gimenez totally bought it.

The Porn Stars Just Wanted a Movie Night

Dr. Drew arrives in the middle of a screaming match between everyone except for the sex addicts Kendra Jade Rossi and Jennie Ketcham who simply wanted a movie night. They both were looking forward to it and now everyone has ruined it. It's like when Mom and dad start fighting before you get to ice cream after dinner and they just drive home. You remember not getting that ice cream forever why they don't even recall it. I honestly felt bad for them because they are the only ones trying.
