Baby showers are great for giving to a friend or family member who is expecting. It helps them save a lot on their budget for the baby they're expecting. One great gift for this occasion is a receiving blanket. Receiving blankets are practical because most of the time, babies are left swaddled with these soft cloths. Receiving blanket center pieces for baby showers make for a nice gift and decoration for the shower. The more common receiving blanket center pieces for baby showers are found below.

Diaper Cake

With this design, layers of disposable diapers all rolled up and tied with ribbons for every layer. Then you can insert the blankets in the different holes. Either fold a blanket lengthwise and use this for tying instead of a ribbon. Make this blanket go around the edge of every layer. You may also use the receiving layers in place of the diapers. Roll these up and arrange them as you would the diapers.

Stork Bundle

One common story for how babies arrive is that they are delivered by storks via blankets that they carry in their beaks. You can make a nice stork bundle center piece with an accompanying stork figurine. Use a receiving blanket to make the bundle and instead of a baby inside, you can fill it up with baby items. Make sure to fold the blanket in such a way that the items are visible, but at the same time, won't fall out of the blanket.

Carriage Basket

A carriage basket is a nice center piece idea where you can fill it with gifts for the baby. You can make the wheels of the carriage using baby bottles where you wrap these in baby blankets. For its body, the carriage can have a wicker basket placed on a receiving blanket which is then wrapped around it. Another receiving blanket can be used to line the inside of the basket. Fill this carriage with items accordingly.

Stuffed Animal

You can wrap a stuffed animal in a receiving blanket and make it look like a baby with a pacifier, hat, and mittens, whichever way you want to make it look like a baby.

These are just a few of the many ideas that you can come up with for receiving blanket center pieces for baby showers.
