Recession Friendly Christmas Gift Idea #3: Pedicure Gift Set

Katrina J.
Who the gift is appropriate for:

This gift is probably best for a woman. Although, this would make a great gift for a wife to give her husband if she followed it up by doing his pedicure for him. Spoiling your spouse is great. I highly recommend it!

Why this gift is great:

Being pampered is a luxury and in hard economic times, the luxuries are the first to go out the window. Giving this gift is a great way to allow someone on your list to feel special at a very low cost to you. After all, winter is the time of year when our skin is the driest so this gift will be right on time!

What you'll need to assemble the "Pedicure Gift Set":

Plastic tub

Nail file

Nail clippers

Pumice stone

Foot scrub

Foot lotion

Cuticle trimmer

Cuticle oil

Soft, fluffy towel

Thick rubber band

Blow dryer shrink wrap

Blow Dryer

Holiday-themed ribbon or bowl

How to Assemble:

1. Roll up the towel and place into the bottom of the plastic tub.

2. Place the other items (except the blow dryer, of course) on top of the towel.

3. Place the entire bin inside the shrink wrap and close with the rubber band. Use blow dryer to shrink the wrap according to the directions.

4. Finish off with holiday-themed ribbon or bow.

5. Deliver the gift of luxury to your loved one with a smile!

Total time spent:

Approx. 15 minutes per basket

Total cost:

Less than $25 if you buy low-priced items for the bin. I recommend shopping at your local dollar store or discount retailer for the items you will need.
