These are the ingredients that you need to have and how they should be prepared prior to cooking.
3 cloves of garlic that are sliced
1 medium onion that is sliced
3 medium tomatoes that are sliced
3 medium potatoes that are chopped
2 carrots that are chopped
2 tbsp of margarine or olive oil
1/3 tsp of salt
8 oz of tomato sauce
4 laurel or bay leaves
½ cup of water
1 lb of chicken (depending on the cut of chicken you desire, it can be a mix of legs and thighs or just legs or a mix of legs and wings)
Now that you have all your ingredients ready and prepared, let us go into the actual cooking.
1. Preheat the pan for a few minutes and have it on a medium setting.
2. After you have done that, put in the margarine or olive oil and wait for it to heat up.
3. Next, you will want to add in the 3 cloves of sliced garlic and saute it. You will know it's is finished when it turns a golden brown color.
4. Then add in the sliced onion and saute that for a couple of minutes with the garlic.
5. Add in the sliced tomatoes and saute those as well for a couple of minutes with the onions and garlic.
6. After you have finished with that, put in the 1 lb of chicken and saute it with the other ingredients that have already been added.
7. When you have finished sauteing the chicken for a couple of minutes, add in the ½ cup of water to the mix.
8. Next you will want to add in the chopped potatoes as well as the chopped carrots.
9. Set the stove to a low setting and have everything simmer for about 10 minutes.
10. After all of your ingredients have simmered for 10 minutes, put in the 8 oz of tomato sauce and the 1/3 tsp of salt.
11. Wait for a short while for that to cook and you are finished!
Again a great meal for the whole family and it makes 3 to 4 servings. Bon appetit!
