Recipe for Fruit Platter with Sweet Dip
Part of a Larger Series on "The Secret to Hosting a Fabulous Party"
2 Cups of Heavy Whipping Cream
2 Tbsp Confectioner's Sugar
1 Canteloupe
1 Honeydew
1 Large Carton Strawberries
1 Small package fresh Blueberries
1 Whole, fresh Pineapple
1 bunch green grapes, seedless
1 bunch purple or red grapes, seedless
Whip heavy cream with electric mixer, starting off slowly, then increasing speed. As cream thickens, add sugar. Mix until fluffy and of a good dipping consistency (about three to four minutes on high). Put the dip into a storage container and place in refrigerator. If you are doing this more than a day ahead of time, place it in the freezer, and take it out about three hours before serving.
Wash all fruit. Cut melons into bite-sized chunks. Slice top off of pineapple horizontally; scoop out inside of pineapple and cut into bite-size chunks. You will use the pineapple shell as a "bowl" for the dip. Place all fruit back into refrigerator until serving time.
For serving, you will need a tray and a spoon for the dip, plus a fork or spoon for the fruit.
[Money saving tip: you can buy all of these fruits pre-cut, but it definitely saves money to do it yourself.]

Sounds tasty!
I mix cool whip with flavored yogurt for another quick dip. This sounds great too...but I can't do the whipped cream.
