Recipe for Ground Pork with Quail Eggs

Another great and common dish in the Philippines that many love is ground pork with quail eggs. It is simple to cook and kids even seem to be drawn to it for the colorfulness of the food itself. Without further ado, here is the recipe for Ground Pork with Quail Eggs!

These are the ingredients that you need to have and how they should be prepared prior to cooking.

9 oz of ground pork
1 medium carrot that is chopped into cubes
2 red bell peppers thinly cut where each piece is 2 to 3 inches long
¼ tsp of black pepper
1 medium onion that is chopped into small pieces
3 cloves of garlic that is chopped into small pieces
3 tbsp of oil
3 tomatoes cut into small pieces
½ cup of green peas
1 dozen quail eggs
4 tbsp of fish sauce
½ tsp of salt
½ cup of water
2 cups of water that will be used to boil the quail eggs
2 medium potatoes that is chopped into small cubes

Now that you have all your ingredients ready and prepared, let us go into the actual cooking.

1. The first thing you will want to do is to boil all the quail eggs in the two cups of water. You should do this for about 5 minutes.
2. Then you will want to get a pan and preheat it. Put in the 3 tbsp of oil. Next, put the chopped garlic into the pan and saute it. You will know it is finished when it turns a golden brown color.
3. Next put in the chopped onions and saute those as well.
4. Put in the tomatoes and saute those too.
5. When you have finished with that task, put in the 9 oz of ground pork and the diced potatoes. Saute both for a couple of minutes. Add in the ½ cup of water and let everything simmer for about 10 minutes.
6. When that time has passed, put in the diced carrots, the ¼ tsp of black pepper, the red bell peppers, the ½ tsp of salt, the 4 tbsp of fish sauce and the ½ cup of green peas. Let all the ingredients simmer for about 5 to 10 minutes.
7. Finally, peel the quail eggs and put it on top of everything. It is now ready to be served.
