Recipe for Low-Fat Mushroom-Cream Sauce

Ingredients

Serves 4
1 cup Low-fat cottage cheese
1/3 cup Chicken stock
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 Onion, minced
4 ounces Mushrooms, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon Extra virgin olive oil
1 clove Garlic, minced

Directions for Recipe for Low-Fat Mushroom-Cream Sauce

Blend.
Combine the cottage cheese, chicken stock, and Worcestershire sauce in a food processor or blender. Blend until smooth and set aside.

Saute.
In a nonstick pan, saute the onions and mushrooms in the extra virgin olive oil until tender. Add the garlic and cook for another minute. Remove from heat.

Finish.
Add the cheese mixture to the onions, mushrooms, and garlic. Warm over medium-low heat. Pour over pasta and serve.
Tip
Use this on your favorite type of pasta. It also makes a great sauce for chicken or even your favorite veggies.
