This recipe for monkey bread is very easy to read and understand. I learned how to make monkey bread on one of those cooking shows on TV. Even if you aren't very handy in the kitchen, you can make perfect monkey bread.

What you need to make the monkey bread recipe

4 cans of Grand's biscuits

2 tablespoons of cinnamon

1 cup of granulated sugar

1 cup of brown sugar

1 cup of chopped pecans

2 sticks of butter or margarine (1/2 cup)

3 eggs

Bundt pan

Sauce pan

How to make the monkey bread recipe

Step 1. Open all of the cans of biscuits and cut each biscuit into 4 pieces.

Step 2. Crack the eggs one at a time and add to a mixing bowl. Whisk the eggs until well blended. The eggs will be an egg wash to prepare the biscuit pieces for the sugar to stick to.

Step 3. Place cinnamon, granulated sugar into a plastic bag.

Step 4. Dredge the biscuit pieces through the egg wash and then place them one at a time into the plastic bag. Shake the bag to get the sugar mixture onto the biscuit pieces.

Step 5. Spray a Bundt pan with PAM spray or your favorite nonstick spray.

Step 6. Arrange the biscuit pieces all around the Bundt pan and sprinkle the pieces with pecans and set aside.

Step 7. Place the butter and the brown sugar into a sauce pan. Bring the butter and brown sugar to a boil and then take it off the heat to cool for about 15 minutes.

Step 8. Once the brown sugar mixture has cooled sufficiently, pour it over the pieces of monkey bread (biscuit pieces).

Step 9. Bake the monkey bread in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until done. Stick a toothpick into a few of the pieces of bread. The toothpick will come out clean when the monkey bread is done.

Step 10. Allow the monkey bread to cool for 30 minutes and then turn the Bundt pan upside down and transfer the monkey bread onto a cake plate. Serve warm.

Monkey bread is very good warm, and I like it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream next to it. This is very good as a breakfast food with coffee, or as an evening dessert. If you have guests and don't know what you can serve them, just whip them up a batch of monkey bread. It will be a hit for sure.
