Recipe for Pennsylvania's Chocolate Chip Muffins

Pennsylvania's state muffin in this series is filled with chocolate chips and nuts. The recipe starts with the Rich 'n' Sweet Muffin recipe found at:

PENNSYLVANIA'S CHOCOLATE CHIP MUFFINS

1 recipe Rich 'n' Sweet Muffins

½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

½ cups chopped nuts, toasted

Prepare muffin recipe as directed except add chocolate chips and nuts with liquid ingredients.

Makes 1 dozen, about 270 calories each.

    Thanks everyone. Pattie, I don't know, but I don't think the texture of these would go well with ice cream. Maybe you could just use a cake mix--or half of one--and throw the chips and nuts in it. A yellow Duncan Hines or Pillsbury mix would work well, I think.

    Got those things we all love chocolate chips and nuts. Sounds great. Wonder if I could use that recipe and make a small cake instead of muffins. Sounds like it would be great with ice cream.
