You will need the following items.
1 lb. Hamburger
1 box Scalloped Potatoes
1 can of corn
1 tablespoon of butter or margarine
6 slices of your favorite cheese or shredded
2/3 cup of milk
2 cups hot water
First you will want to place the thawed out hamburger crumbled up into a medium sized frying pan. You can add your favorite seasonings and spices for flavor. ( I use a little Season-All Salt and Celery Salt with a pinch of Ground Black Pepper. ) Cook the hamburger on medium to medium high heat until it's all brown. Drain the grease from the hamburger and set it aside.
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
Take 2 cups of hot water and pour it into a medium size baking dish ( usually a 8x8x4 will do ). Grab your box of Scalloped potatoes and take out the seasoning packet. Empty the seasoning packet into the 2 cups hot water and mix thoroughly. Add 1 tablespoon of butter or margarine. Add 2/3 cup of milk and mix well. Add the hamburger. Now add the Scalloped potatoes. Be sure to flatten everything down evenly; submerging the hamburger and scalloped potatoes.
Bake on 450 for about 20 minutes or until golden brown. Take it out.
Reduce the oven temp to 350 degrees.
Drain the corn.
After it's been cooked you will now want to add the DRAINED corn on top of the potatoes. DO NOT MIX. It should have a layered look. Now add your favorite cheese on top of the corn covering the whole thing.
Bake once more on 350 for an additional 3 to 5 minutes until the cheese is melted. Be sure to keep checking so that the cheese does not burn.
Take it out of the oven and let it set for 5 minutes and then serve.

Post a CommentThe recipe is good. I used cheddar cheese in large slices, i would use American next time. Also i added mix vegetables. And on the first part of baking, the potatoes were a bit watery so I think 25mins would solve that. Everything else was good. Will use again.
