Putting customers first in your list will make you more sensitive to their needs and their demands. Because you focus on them, your products and services become more responsive to what they want. You meet their specific needs, thus they turn to you to get exactly what they are looking for. This makes you ahead than your competitors. In the customers' perspective, your product is more efficient than others'. They get more satisfaction out of purchasing your product or service than that of other manufacturers'. Also, because you give attention to the customers, when they come to you, they would feel that they are really being taken cares of. They develop trust that your products or services will always meet their demands.
Put value on excellence.
Strive for perfection. Do not do with products that meet the standards. More so, do not settle for products that do not even meet the standard. If your products or services just meet the standard, it will just be as good as everything else. It will not have the competitive edge compared to other products based on quality. Even if you are already above the standards and relatively competitive, continue striving for perfection. You might not achieve perfection, but it can help you be the best in the market.
Observe honesty, integrity, humility, and good business practice.
It is not your only your products and services that matter. Your reputation and business practice matters, as well. So never fool customers or make dishonest transaction with other manufacturers. If people know you with a good reputation, they will always make business with you.
Continue to innovate.
Be the first in the market. Having new products and services that others do not have spells competitiveness and will make people go to you. And even if others are able to copy your innovation, you already have the bragging rights to be the first one to discover and introduce it. Also, continue research and development activities. You do not know when a new product or service might be needed. It's good to be among the first ones to respond to the new need.
