Recollections - XXXVI; Insomnia's Mad Mutterings of Memory.
(bits of mad sanity)

You need help you say? Funny -
we have known that much
for years.

'course - I cannot talk - not really.
They have tried for ages
to lock me away - though whether
more for their, or my, protection -
I cannot say.

They succeeded; once. Did you
know? Did my stint at that farm -
thirty days of chaotic tranquility
to which they have tried returning
this old fool.

Met a girl there; the girl
of my dreams (how long
ago was that? Twenty years?
I Think...) -

A man,
a woman,
a lone,

in the mad house -

She gave a rose
to an angry cripple
when she left.

Unrelentingly,
He has chased
that moment of peace
ever since.
