It was easy signing up since all I needed was an email address. Since I elected to be paid via Paypal, I provided my Paypal account email, thus relieving me from entering my mailing address. I continue to the next site to sign up for another chance to earn. The sign up page was exactly the same as the first site but with a different background. Again I entered my email address then my Paypal email. When the third site sign up page matches the first two sites I'm thinking how odd and wondered if they all are affiliated with one another or perhaps they share a software program that would explain their similar format. I signed up for the fourth site and yes it too was in the same format. Now I needed to confirm my email address in order to start earning or playing I should say.
The emails came pouring in nearly flooding the inbox and spam folders. Most of them stated that if the paid ad were not read within a 24-hour period it would no longer be available. I started clicking on the ad under the title paid ad in the email I received. It opened up the ad and a message popped up saying that in order to be credited I must stay on the page for 10 seconds. Another message appeared after the 10 seconds was over stating that my accounted has been credited for 25 cents or 75 cents. I continue to open other mails sent by the sites and repeated the process of opening the ad wait and be credited.
To my surprise after all the ads I've clicked and opened to read and credited my earning status on the sites was the same _ just under 2 cents. Sometimes I am credited with points that can be used to redeem for cash or a prize.
Because my inbox folder was so bombarded with these paid ads, I decided to cancel the other three and keep one for experimentation. I learned to open an ad read it and checked it off as read on a site, so I can move on to the next mail. Perhaps I needed to read 100 ads first in order to earn the 25 cents. It didn't work after all that effort. These sites promise earnings but did not deliver.
Disappointed I contacted the site administrator who later responded saying that he cancelled my account because due to incorrect address. My question was whose account was credited when I click on the paid ad, mine or the advertiser or the host site. He failed to mention who got the credit.
So there you have it folks. Not all paid to read sites are created equal. I used to have hits4pay but they keep sending me email saying I have to reconfirm my email address. Probably the site doesn't like yahoo. The only paid to read site I've been using for the past 2 years is the easy use and navigate Inboxdollars. I've recently signed up with Cashcrate. The free offers you have to be careful because you have to sign up for credit cards requiring you to enter your social security number. Think about it is it worth it? I shop Walmart through Cashcrate hoping I'd get a percentage back, but Cashcrate does not have a FAQ question regarding their Go Shopping section. I'm waiting to hear if I'll receive a credit for shopping or not. I think I might try Treasure Troopers next.
