On July 22, 2011 at the Science Center in Baltimore, Maryland a new record hottest temperature of 108 degrees was recorded. That broke the old record of 107 degrees, which was set on July 10, 1936. Temperature records have been kept in Baltimore since 1873.
Hottest Temperature Ever Recorded in Hartford, Connecticut
Hartford, Connecticut set an all-time record for hottest temperature on July 22, 2011, as the thermometer reached 103 degrees at Bradley International Airport at 4:06 pm. The old record for Hartford was 102 degrees, which was set on July 6, 2010, August 9, 2001 and July 3, 1996.
Hottest Temperature Ever Recorded in Newark, NJ - 108 degrees
Newark set an all-time high for temperature on July 22, 2011, as the thermometer read 108 degrees, breaking the old mark of 105 degrees, which has been hit numerous times. The record was set at 3 pm at Newark Liberty International Airport.
Hottest Temperature Ever Recorded in Maryland - 109 degrees
The hottest temperature ever recorded in the state of Maryland is 109 degrees, which occurred on July 10, 1936 in Cumberland and Frederick. That's one degree hotter than Baltimore's new all-time record hottest temperature.
Hottest Temperature Ever Recorded in Connecticut
The hottest temperature ever recorded in the state of Connecticut is 106 degrees, which occurred on July 15, 1995 in Danbury. That's three degrees hotter than Hartford's new all-time hottest temperature.
Hottest Temperature Ever Recorded in New Jersey - 110 degrees
The hottest temperature ever recorded in New Jersey is 110 degrees, which occurred on July 10, 1936 in Runyon. That's two degrees hotter than Newark's new all-time hottest temperature.
In addition to the record hot temperatures recorded in Newark and Baltimore, the cities of New York, Boston, Philadelphia and Washington all tied their records for the second hottest temperatures ever.
