Recyclable Shopping Bags Not Just for Shopping

Everyone seems to be jumping on the bandwagon of using some type of recyclable bag for shopping now days. It is hard to walk into a store and not see the bags they offer for sale with their logo imprinted on them. These bags were produced to stop our landfills from being filled with plastic shopping. These bags have so many other uses than just for shopping. So if your household has more recyclable bags than you know what to do with, here are four ways to use them. Once you start thinking about these bags past shopping, you will find even more uses for them.

Use these bags for your laundry and the number of plastic baskets that you own will shrink in numbers. Do you go to the laundry mat to wash clothes? These bags will hold not only your clothes, but also the extras you bring with such as soap, bleach and fabric softener. These bags make a great laundry hamper for younger children. Keep two bags in their closets and each evening they can dispose of the dirty clothes in these bags. Use one bag for dark clothes and on for light clothes. When it is time to wash the clothes, they are already sorted for you. It also provides a learning lesson in sorting clothes, for the kids.

Keep a bag or two handy for those quick trips around the house to pick up unwanted clutter. Did the kids come in and leave books, jackets or other items lying around? Assign a certain bag to each child. Place their items in the bag and before the end of the night each person is responsible for putting away the items in their bags. This will help to keep the house nice and organized without a lot of nagging.

There will be less fighting and crying over missing items, or items that have fallen and can't be retrieved while the car is still moving.

The reuse, recycle, repeat bags can be used for more than just shopping. There are so many uses for these bags than just grocery shopping, those are just a few items.
